Quote:
Brian Gewirtz was the person who wrote the line about the late Steve Irwin on Tuesday's ECW show, of course the idea was green-lighted by Vince McMahon.

Speaking of that, ECW.com issued this today: The following is a statement from the Chairman of the Board of WWE: "We at WWE apologize for the remark alluding to the death of Steve Irwin which was made on ECW on Sci Fi Tuesday night. The remark was, in the least, disrespectful to Mr. Irwin's fans and family."

Well, there was supposed to be a big announcement to shock WWE waves the first 10 minutes of Raw. The power went out (lol) and thus the announcement will probably be pushed back to next week. It's a pretty safe bet to say that Bischoff was part of that announcement. Probably returning to WWE in some form or fashion. I don't know 100% for certain, but when he was doing his speech, he put a pretty big emphasis on "There would be no D-X, without nWo" (which is true heh) so I'm kinda thinking the announcement was that Bischoff is bringing back the nWo to fued with D-X to set up another WCW vs WWE feud. Of course, this all speculation. Bischoff could very well be named GM once again. (Which would make me happy, really)

Then, it seemed that everyone always wondered what he would do next to piss off McMahon or get the belt back or whatnot. Granted, there were some excellent matches in between it like Rock VS Austin.
Actually Austin got a pretty big following before that. I want to say it was king of the Ring in 96 (97?) that he defined the Stone Cold character. When he beat Jake Roberts in the final bout (When Jake had the whole preist/preacher gimmick going or whatever it was) and he uttered the line "You thump your little bible and say your prayers. You talk about your Psalms and your John 3:16. Well Austin 3:16 says I just whupped your ass!" That was the moment that Austin started hitting big.

What I wouldn't give for it to be 10 years ago. Back when I started watching wrestling again. To see all that for the first time, and enjoy it. Instead of now, where each Raw I watch, I sit and just see how predictible everything is. :\

If you saw the highlights from the ppvs cena and edge had fought, you wouldve seen the elimination chamber one. WWE showed the footage where edge cashed the money in the bank and beat cena, and the whole time the crowd was booing edge. This obviously was bullshit cause I saw the damn ppv and the crowd was cheering for edge and booing cena to hell.

Also, the past smackdown, I noticed when cena came out, you only heard the cheers of women. Usually women and kids cheer for cena, and guys boo, but the deep masculine boos were gone, which is became pretty fucking obvious that wwe is editing boos and playing recorded crowd cheers, not to mention they have 4 days to edit footage of smackdown.

This is all cenas movie's fault.

It's actually not uncommon for that to happen. The first time I noticed it somewhat was when I attended the Smackdown event in Jan of 02 when Vince announced the nWo. It happened on at least 2 different occasions. The first was when DDP came out. He was cheered quite heavily (this was when he first started the motivational speaker gimmick). On TV they gave him boos.

Second thing (and the most interesting) when Vince turned the chair around and it had nWo on the back. Everyone and I do mean everyone jumped up and started cheering their asses off. People were doing the Wolfpak sign and I know I had to have heard a couple hundred "Tooooooooo sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet"s. I know I was touching Wolfpak signs with a ton of people that night.

On TV? Yep you guessed it. They made the audience boo.

Makes no sense why they do it anyway. Most of the time they change the way a character is portrayed by reactions of the fans (nWo Hogan anyone?)

Hall...I swore he was blackballed because of some outrageous stunt he pulled to make WWE look bad.
The infamous "airplane incident". Hall, Lesnar, Hennig and a few others were on a flight back from doing a tour of the UK. All of them were smashed and someone said or did something that caused a fight to break out. Of course, Lesnar wasn't fired, but Hall and Hennig were. I want to say Dustin Runnels (Goldust) was on that flight too and ended up getting fired as well, but I can't remember. I know it kinda pissed me off when it happened, cause I rather liked Hall being back in WWE. That's also when they decided to shit on the nWo and just start phasing them out.

It would be interesting if they were to bring nWo back, though. Websites are now saying that Vince only re-registered the trademark for merchandising and have no intention of bringing the nWo back, but we all know they won't spend the time and money to get back the nWo rights to just move shirts and shit. I'd laugh if they went through this whole ordeal and so much hatred of the nWo vs DX that when they finally clash, Vince thinking the nWo are on his side and will destroy DX, that they do the whole dive thing that Nash and Hogan did back in the day. (Triple H touches Nash and Nash falls down. Triple H gets the pin and they both point and laugh at Vince in the end) It would make sense since most everyone that was in nWo and DX are part of the big "Clique" heh.

Why waste time when people already know that it's a lost cause.
The nWo didn't work last time because that was the time that Vince was trying to destroy everything good there was in WCW on WWE TV. Everything was tainted from the get-go. DO you actually think he would seriously let a rival company's main draw win out over WWE talent? LOL. He hated WCW that much. (and still hates it, because it's the only thing that ever truly threatened him.) The nWo could be huger than DX is now in WWE, and it would still end up getting trashed on.

Makes me wonder what this would have been like if the roles were reveresed and Ted Turner had won out instead of Vince.

How ya doing, buddy?

I miss the days when Simon Dean wrestled as Nova the innovative wrestler post-ECW to OVW.
Jericho left to tour with his band.

Dave Scherer reports that starting soon the ECW brand will no longer be treated as a separate company but rather as the 3rd brand of the WWE. Little minor changes such as the women switching from being called Vixens to Divas and the males from Extremists to Superstars will take place. There has also been some discussion about removing the ECW logo from the screen and replacing it with the WWE logo. A lot of this is Kevin Dunn's doing. He thinks the fans are confused and don't realize that ECW is a part of the WWE and he says that's the reason for the low ratings. Also expect the product to be toned down a lot. Vince McMahon is not a fan of hardcore wrestling and he hated the RVD vs. Test match.

looooooooool.

which leads to:

Spoiler:
The big announcement on Raw will probably Vince announcing a Champion of Champions match at Cyber Sunday. (which the logo looks oddly like the Metroid logo to me :\ ) The stipulation for this match would be "fans choose" which title goes on the line in the match. WWE, World heavyweigh and ECW. Mixed with the above news, RVD will probably lose his title. Or if either "WWE" title is the one on the line, probably intergrated with the ECW one.

The annual Dog Show is on USA. I think it's awesome TNA took advantage of that and aired that 2 hour special on Spike TV during the Raw timeslot. The real test will be Thursday, when the TNA will air during the last hour of Raw. Unless Vince has something spetacular set up (IE having Stone Cold's run begin this Monday at the beginning of the show) I imagine a lot of people will be switching over to watch Impact. And yes, Austin is supposed to be making a lengthy return. It's more to advertise that movie he's in from WWE films and Wrestlemania and all that crap. But given Austin's attitude with the way the show's written, who knows when he'll just storm out and "quit" again.

I never cared for Mr. Kennedy. Of course I feel bad for teh guy since he was the last person Eddie Guerrero faced before he died. Reason being, he gave Eddie that chair shot at the end of the match, then that Sunday, Eddie's dead. (of course it was from a poor heart and not the chair shot lol) but it still is like .

I kinda figured Raw would end the way it did, but what I'm surprised about is that there were mixed reactions from the crowd. Batista and Taker both getting cheers from the crowd for
