The NXT beatdown at the end of the show was both unsuspecting and fucking awesome. That was simply the best written ending to a Raw in YEARS. I just hope the writers don't fuck up with this potential gold they have.

So Bryan Danielson was fired. Now... this is either a complete work or it's legit. If it is work then this is Vince trying to "fuck you" to the IWC (internet wrestling community). If it is real, then the greatest angle to be written was fucked up. Here's indication it could be real though:

We can now confirm that our earlier info on Triple H being responsible for the firing of Bryan Danielson is indeed correct. Our source tells us that while watching Justin Roberts being choked by his own tie Triple H’s children became frightened and burst into tears.

Despite the incident being planned as part of the NXT rookie invasion, the sight of his children’s tears drove Triple H to action. The next day, Triple H confronted Danielson during the Smackdown! tapings and the two had to be torn away from each other. Triple H put a stop to another invasion that was planned for SD for fear of further scaring his kids and them having sleepless nights which would “ruin his weekend” in the words of our source. Triple H then told our source that he wanted Danielson out of the company as soon as possible and convinced Vince to finally terminate his contract.

Upon being told of his release Danielson stormed out of the building in a rage and spat on Eve Torres who had the misfortune of being near Danielson when he began to rage. The general locker room feeling is that Bryan’s firing was brought about solely from Triple H. Vince was reportedly disappointed that he had to release Bryan due to his involvement with such a large angle and this release has scuppered a lot of Creative’s plans.

Story has a lot of holes in it. Like, it was okay for Mick Foley's kids to see him get his head smashed in with a steel chair by the Rock at the Royal Rumble in 98, I believe, but Triple H's kids (who should have been in fucking bed) were crying cause someone was getting choked out? Danielson, noted for being one of the most respectful workers in the business, flying off the handle and spitting on a woman? Doesn't make sense. But like I said this is either real, or a very very cleverly written angle. Time will tell.

Not big on predictions. Everyone is waiting to see if this is where the writers have Cena's heel turn, becoming the Leader of the Nexus (which is rumored to be about when The Rock is making his return for whatever he and the WWE have cooked up together, leading to a possible Cena vs Rock feud).

On a sadder note, Lance Cade died. 29 years old. They're calling it heart failure as cause of death.

Fucking lame, but I figured they'd have Cena win at the end. the whol NEVER GIVE UP crap. Also the few minutes Bret was in the ring, he looked really good out there. I give the PPV a 4/10.

As I rarely post in this thread, I have to take a moment to /facepalm at the writers.

As most know by now, the story was for Cena to be "fired". Well, obviously he wasn't and is being booked at house shows. People are (of course) asking why is he still there when he's supposed to be fired (again from a storyline point of view). Well the writers have done it this time:

Everyone knew that Matt Raven (I mean.. Hardy) was going to show up in TNA. Hopefully after Jeff's court shit subsides, they'll team them back up and revive the Tag Team division.

Rumble being beefed up to 40 man this year instead of 30 since its inception.

Also a new WWE game coming out, WWE All Stars. Not going to be the route of Smackdown vs Raw has been, but more of an Arcade-type game. It looks awesome. Comes out March.

I think they made it 40 because there's probably a few more "surprise entrants" that they want to have make their return that night like Triple H and possibly Undertaker, depending on if he's medically cleared or not.

All Stars looks really good, as it could be as fun as No Mercy and WCW/nWo Revenge. Lord knows the Smackdown vs Raw series is suffering from Madden syndrome; nothing but a roster update and maybe one or two new matches, while making story mode complete shit and changing the controller set-up and taking away shit from CAW.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Ultimate Warrior died yesterday. It's really kind of surreal since he was on Raw Monday night for the first time in almost 20 years after burying the hatchet with Vince. His last speech he gave on Monday just upped the creepiness factor of all this too.
