Got invited to a BWL pug the other night. (Most of the horde-side guilds have stopped raiding due to BC) We downed Razorgore and I ended up with a nice new pair of wrath bracers. So it's like T1: 4/8 and T2 1/8
The stamina on is insane. Would have had the Wrath helm too (couldn't get Vael, so we went to down Ony) but the leader neglected to let it known that both runs counted as 1 raid and since I got the bracers I couldn't win the helmet. (I had rolled and won it and before he could send it to me, someone made the call about it) . But hey, it's cool. Just about 2 weeks till BC anyway. ![]() There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Anyone else have a problem with raids not being right? There was a AQ 20 pug last night and I was like the 5th person invited. When we got all 20 people, headed down to the instance and half the people were in one instance and another handful were in another. I would chalk it up to some being raid locked, however I've never been in there on my shaman before and everything was cleared past Kurinaxx and the second boss. Everyone was witnessing the same thing. Both sets of groups had no mobs for the first few bosses, but we weren't in the same instance. No one was raid-locked at all. :\
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
That's interesting because he never came in the instance. Still though, if that were the case, wouldn't I have gotten a raid ID when zoning in the place? I didn't have a raid ID, and two other people in my guild didn't have one either, we all zoned in.
Someone said there was a bug that caused instances not resetting properly, but meh. Only a week till I can do some new 5-mans. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

General - A stirring of events has begun throughout Azeroth and rumor points to the Dark Portal as its source. - Mazk Snipeshot in Booty Bay now sells bullets. - The Auction House now sorts by buyout price first, then by current price. This should filter all of the items with outlandish buyout prices to the bottom of the list. - Players will now need to be level 58 to pass through the Dark Portal. (The Burning Crusade Expansion must be installed.) - Collector Edition pets are now blue items and a confirmation dialogue will appear to prevent accidental deletion. - Pets will no longer attack targets that are under the influence of crowd control (sheep, banish, etc.). - The title "Scarab Lord" can now be chosen in game for select players. PvP - Players can use the /teamquit or /teamdisband command in order to leave an Arena team. - A new bracket has been added to Alterac Valley for level 61-70. - Added a sorting function so that the battleground and scoreboard can be sorted by any of the categories. - Healthstones and summoned warlock pets will no longer cost a soulshard to summon in the Arena preparation area. All summoned items and pets will be dismissed on leaving the arena. - The last pet a player had summoned will be resummoned outside the Arena upon leaving. Druids - Due to various talent changes, all Druids will have all their talent points refunded. - "Feline Swiftness" has been renamed "Feral Swiftness". The dodge % increase now also applies to Bear and Dire Bear Forms. - "Improved Moonfire" has been reduced to 2 ranks, for a 5/10% bonus. - "Insect Swarm" has had its damage on all ranks increased. The mana cost of ranks 1 and 3 has been increased. The mana cost of ranks 4,5 and 6 has been decreased. - "Nurturing Instinct" now grants its benefit at all times, but the bonus has been reduced to 25/50% of Strength. - "Improved Starfire" has been renamed to "Celestial Focus" and now also increases the chance to resist casting pushback when casting "Wrath" by 25/50/70%. - "Blood Frenzy" benefits have merged with "Primal Fury". - "Improved Leader of the Pack" has been reduced to 2 ranks for 2/4% total health healed. - "Pounce" no longer requires the druid to be behind the target. - "Barkskin" is now usable while stunned. - Druids now need substantially less agility per dodge. - "Dire Bear Form" armor bonus increased to 450% and health bonus changed to a 25% percent health increase instead of a flat increase. - The Health bonus of "Bear Form" has changed to a 25% percent health increase instead of a flat increase. - "Swipe" has had its threat bonus multiplier removed. - "Maul" has had its threat bonus multiplier changed to a flat value similar in threat per time to "Heroic Strike". - "Regrowth" has had its mana cost reduced by approximately 18%. - "Tree of Life" healing bonus now increases the healing received by your party members instead of the healing dealt by your party members. - The "Tranquility" base amount healed per second has increased by approximately 273%. The radius of effect has increased from 20 yards to 30 yards. Mana cost has increased by 40%. The Cooldown has increased from 5 minutes to 10 minutes. The Duration has decreased from 10 seconds to 8 seconds. - "Mangle" will not stack multiple copies from multiple forms or druids anymore. This was never intended behavior. The percentage modification on bleeds has increased from 25% to 30% and "Mangle" now increases the damage from "Shred" as well. In addition, "Mangle" will now benefit from the damage boost from "Tiger's Fury". - "Enrage" will now show up in the combat log and in floating combat text. - "Lifebloom" will now correctly consume clearcasting. - "Predatory Instincts" has had its tooltip adjusted to indicate it only works in feral forms, and that it increases damage by a percent, not damage bonus by a percent. - If a spell is resisted, it will no longer break stealth. - "Tree of Life's" bonus healing aura will now reactivate correctly when "Banish" wears off. - Shapeshifted druids will now be able to speak to npcs while shapeshifted. Hunters - "Multi-Shot" has had its mana cost adjusted back to a value closer to its pre-2.0.1 version. - If your pet has been recently revived by using "Call Pet", it will no longer reset back to full health. - If a Hunter "Wyvern Stings" an enemy already asleep from "Wyvern Sting", the "Wyvern Sting" sleep will now be reapplied correctly. Mages - "Frost Nova" (Water Elemental Spell) has been renamed to "Freeze". - "Ice Lance" is now correctly affected by "Elemental Precision". - "Ice Armor"is now correctly affected by "Elemental Precision". - "Frost Armor" is now correctly affected by "Elemental Precision". - Mages will no longer see line of sight errors if the target moves behind an obstacle after the spell "Arcane Missiles" has begun casting. - "Blazing Speed" no longer PROCs while the caster is mounted. Rogues - Due to various talent changes, Rogues will have all talent points refunded. - "Evasion" (Rank 2) now reduces the chance that ranged attacks will hit the Rogue by 25%, reduced from 50%. It is now available at level 50. - The "Cloak of Shadows" cooldown has been reduced to 1 min, from 2 min. Now a trainable ability at level 66. - "Shadowstep" (New Subtlety Talent) attempts to step through the shadows and reappear behind your enemy. Your next "Ambush", "Backstab" or "Garrote" ability is increased by 20% and lasts 10 sec. This is only usable while stealthed. - "Premeditation" (Subtlety Talent) has had its range increased to 30 yards. - "Preparation" now only resets the cooldown of the "Evasion", "Sprint", "Vanish", "Cold Blood", "Adrenaline Rush" and "Premeditation" abilities. - "Wound Poison" now causes damage and reduces all healing by 10%, stacks up to 5 times. - The Cooldown for "Blind" has been reduced to 3 min, from 5 min. - There is no longer a random chance the effect of "Sap" will end (i.e. removed the heartbeat resist check). Warlocks - Melee damage of "Felguard" has been reduced. - The damage increase component of "Soul Link" has been improved. You can now unlearn a blacksmithing or leatherworking specialization and learn a different one by finding the appropriate NPC, paying the fee to unlearn your old specialization, and then find the new specialist to learn a new one. Also, all of the old blacksmithing/leatherworking recipes that required specialization no longer require it and can be learned by any blacksmith/leatherworker. - Silver/Golden/Mystic/Runic Spellthread have been increased in power. User Interface - The Auction House will now sort items first by buyout price then by current price. - Added a new option to the Looking for Group and Looking for More panel to choose Heroic Mode Dungeons. - Players will now be able to pull out a pet window to see all the pets in the raid. - Added Ranged and Spell stats as a display option for the G15 keyboard. - Updated the Sound Options menu to include a checkbox for Hardware Acceleration and a slider for Sound Channels. Warlock pet "Felguard" will now use the appropriate sounds. - Using a grimoire to teach your demon pet a spell while it is under the effects of "Banish" will no longer consume the grimoire, but the pet is immune and will not learn the spell. - Warriors with full "Weapon Mastery" talent will now be shown to have immunity towards disarm. - The "Shield Bash" rank 4 daze effect will now properly slow the target and has had its tooltip updated. - Warriors will no longer being re-entered into a combat state if the character switches stances after killing a mob. - "Second Wind" will no longer improperly proc off of a mob's daze. LOL dark portal. A quest for a tabard out in Dark Portal. Of course it's hard to do the quest to kill 6 when the entire alliance are flagged out there spamming AoE so if you try to tag one first you end up getting flagged.

I LOVE the fact that FINALLY I can fucking craft the BOP Dark Iron Plate as a generic Blacksmith item. (I'm an Axesmith on my warrior). I had all these swordsmithing/hammersmithing plans that I could learn and not have to have them take up space because I couldn't sell the shit.

I remember back on Laughing Skull a guild called Banana Boyz would do that. They'd have moles in various end-game guilds and in one week, had about 6-7 MC clears. Blizzard pretty much just slapped them on the wrists and told them to not do it again.
It also happened recently on Thunderhorn too. The sad thing is that the guild that was involved of it tried to justify it saying that the guild that was stolen from wouldn't have done it anyway. It's all bullshit. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Caverns of Time is awesome and I just go there and listen to the music. They've also added the rep quartermasters with items to buy at the different rep levels. There's one in CoT that is an enchant for a ring. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

New forum background plus what the level 70 avatars look like. Not too bad. Got my collector's edition today. Of course the servers are SWAMPED. On Thunderhorn, Outland is almost unplayable. (Outland keeps crashing, etc) I decided to rip the soundtrack from the collector's edition. Upping it to Sendspace now. Will edit link in in a bit. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Not on your part, but EB's. Some EB/Gamestops I know had to have more pre-orders than they let on. Someone that worked there probably couldn't resist the temptation of ebaying a few. Only about 8-12 people pre-ordered from the local EB here, I made sure I was in line to pick up the one I had reserved. I've seen a 65 on my server already. I could probably do, a couple of levels and get to about 63-64 in a day if I could get on and not be distracted or bored.

Well it's still bullshit. The EB I pre-ordered mine from said that they had 3 days to take pre-orders. However many pre-orders they got for it in those 3 days, was how many would get distributed to the stores. There have been cases where some employees of EB put back a certain number of copies and then sell them on Ebay afterwards. :\

Yeah, I just lost a couple people in my guild because I wasn't playing "hardcore" enough. Well coupled with that and our server is completely unplayable at times at night. I like playing at my own pace while taking my time to soak things in. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I know what my problem is. I got burnt out and there really isn't anything to reverse that. I just can't sit on end like that anymore. I like the game, I just can't really dedicate all that much time to it like I did when I first started playing. I think also being 60 for over a year and not progressing cause I wanted to treat this as a game and not a job contributed a lot of my "boredom" of it. When I finally do put it up for good, it'll be nice to play console games again. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
The heroic modes will be fine for the level 70 runs, however I think the new instances are quite fun to run. They provide a good challenge. I think it's kind of crazy for people to rush to 70 and run the instances afterwards, though.
Let's hope I can keep interested up until Karazhan. I'm finding it less and less likely, however. :\ I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Eh, then they shouldn't have made the instance cap 25. Besides, I'm interested in the numbers of the amount of people able to do Karazhan and the other 25 mans.
Of course if they announce that Black Citadel is anything other than 25 player max, I'm quitting. I didn't finally get a small guild built up with the hopes of Karazhan soon, to have to watch it crumble because the few hardcore elite assholes cried about 25 player limit "not fair to them" and watch people leave for bigger guilds again. Illidan will probably "run away" and we get a chest or something (like with Domo). I hit 66, working on 67 PAINFULLY. Gah. But I've been having sorta fun now. If I can hit 70 soon I can try and begin my Karazhan key.

It's about time Warriors got some kind of buff for once, however I'm sure it won't last too long. Someone will cry nerf about warriors again and Blizzard will just knock us down a few notches. :\
68 now. *sigh* such.. a pain and chore to level. Had a 55 in guild who had quests in scholo. So we decided to run him through. 68 Arms warrior (me) 70 Lock, 65 mage and 65 lock. We wiped probably about once due to pulling too many than we could handle. It was a good run over all. Lifestealing Enchant dropped, plus a few boe blues. Speaking of enchants, I was out at the tower where Crusader drops and I got it to drop on the first full respawn of the place. So that was pretty sweet. Which makes it what I have in the bank for my mage to learn: Lifestealing, Unholy (picked it up for 15g), Crusader and Icy. Just need to get Fiery if they ever fix the Blackrock Mountain instances. Sadly, rogues are the whiniest people in the game (not all, but jesus christ those rogue forums). If they can't kill something, then it's like "NERF!! WE CAN'T PWN IT!!" Warlocks are the same way too. Druids were being able to tank AND do high DPS. Yeah, that's fair. They were pulling aggro off of prot specced warriors like it was nothing. Hit 70. Now it's just run instances to get rep up and to get keys and well.. time sink begins anew. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
