Don't know why but for some reason the OP made me laugh. Gonna have to check this anime out...sometime....

Hope it's worth the 24 episodes it's supposed to run for (as mentioned by ANN) but I just saw that it's got Kikuko Inoue in it so I must check it out!! Too bad it seems she only has a bit part though....

Heh, the first episode was laid back alright. I enjoyed it nevertheless! I finally heard Kikuko Inoue's voice after a long, long time. It seems she's voicing Tsukasa and Kagami's mother (Miki Hiiragi in the closing credits) so it seems she's only voicing quite a small part this time round.....

Looking forward to the next episode!

Yeah, the second episode was a little better in that there was more variety in topics being discussed. All the anime references were an added bonus too. But it actually took me the second viewing before I caught the "Getter Change!" bit.

Still wondering when the rest of the cast will be introduced....

....we meet the girls' teacher, Ms. Kuroi. We even get to see Kagami and Tsukasa's entire family - which reveals that there are a total of 4 sisters. Apparently the father and the eldest sister work at the shrine? Kagami reveals the second eldest is a college student. Kagami's mom looks suspiciously a lot like Konata though for some reason....or is it just me....? I thought their mom would be that pink haired woman shown waving in the OP but I was mistaken.....could that be Miyuki's mom? She can't be Konata's!

Episode 3 looks like it takes place in the summer? (just a guess, their uniform seems to have changed to short sleeves).



This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Any one know where the song "Stars on Earth" is from? I somehow get the feeling that I've heard it before, but I'm not too sure....

The ED karaoke songs are LOL!!! Especially while listening to Tsukasa's version of "Valentine Day Kiss!", with Konata doing improv background vocals:

"L-O-V-E - LOVELY - TSUKASA!!!"

I can't believe it took me 3-4 viewings of episode 8 to realize that most of the female characters (fellow students in the sports fest, female accidently locking keychains with another student) were actually voiced by obvious male voices!!

Made me LOL!!

Well, he plays adult sim games for gosh sake, and was pretty much probably just there for the opportunity to take as many photos of girls as possible. In the beginning he was interviewed on TV saying he was there to support his daughter, when in fact his daughter was at home because her sports fest was still days away.

I think Konata knows, but just lets him do what he wants. Then again, maybe she didn't help when he was being hauled away because she didn't want to be associated with him? (When Miyuki commented on his camera, Konata didn't acknowledge him or introduce him to her friends.....)

episode 10 was pretty cool. The sleepover at Konata's house was funny, as well as pretty enlightening.

Konata's Mom looked just like Konata according to a photo album Tsukasa looks through in Konata's room. They mistook the photo as a picture of Konata and her father, before Kona-chan points out that it's her mom. Now we know why Konata's so short, but that picture was kind of...... o_O

New cell for Tsukasa! And this time it comes with a Tamama phone strap! And she totally plays around with it......I guess we all mess around with new toys before we eventually settle down with them.

Made me LOL....."Kagami-sama!"

Ha ha ha, that would be funny as hell, Akira reduced to a little toddler!! But then again Konata did mention that she would be starting High School soon so it could be possible.

I just can't wait!!

Next episode has potential for serious hijinks if Akira shows up in the main part.

Heh, this was quite funny. I've never been to a anything quite like comiket, though we do have the ocassional comics and book fairs here in Hong Kong. I know lining up is a pain in most cases, but I don't think it's ever as crazy as in Japan...

They are using quite a few original voice acting for cameo characters, really tongue and cheek. -w-

Both Minori Chihara (Yuki Nagato) and Tomokazu Sugita (Kyon) from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu are credited in the end credits.

That being said, I hadn't realized that Minoru Shiraishi (Minoru Shirashi) was also in Haruhi as Kyon's friend, Kunikida.

This was a nice one. Finally, Konata's little cousin Yutaka is introduced, as well as her classmate Minami (though her name isn't actually mentioned in the main episode). I hope we'll be introduced to the other characters as well pretty soon.

Seeing Yutaka adjusting to life in the Izumi household is quite funny at times. She does seem to be doing well, except for instances like....

....walking in on Soujiro while he's taking a dump, because he didn't bother to close the bathroom door....

It's a joba, and anyway Yui was riding it wrong . It is a kind of exercise equipment, used to strengthen muscles in the abdominal area and back. It uses a rocking motion that simulates the action of riding a horse.

Well, Konata's the only one there who regularly goes to karaoke so it's normal for her to be good at it (as good as Konata can get). Kagami and the rest aren't used to it so it sounds perfectly natural when they aren't as good.

Episode 15 is out!! Another nice episode, we see the girls starting their third and last year in High School. I feel kind'a sad for Kagami though...

OMG, Haruhi references all over!!

......God Knows by Suzumiya Haruhi (Aya Hirano) in concert!! And Konata is in the audience with her friends!! LOL!!


The gesture by Kagami was nice, made me all warm inside.....


And when Konata's dad wants to talk to her and asks if the book she's reading is any good, and she replies "Unique" like Yuki.

And in that same scene there's a Haruhi figure in bunny suit with a guitar standing on Konata's bookshelf!!

More characters got more lines in this episode, and Akira has something to be happy about.....but I guess we'll see what happens next episode.....

The dating sim parody was funny as hell, mostly because Konata was supposed to represent 4 different girls!! Each time they flashed "Konata Izumi" I was like LOL. Plus the guy they showed - you couldn't see his face but by his hair you could tell it was a male Konata!!

I actually knew Kikuko Inoue was in it from the beginning when I checked out the cast listing. I only ever really knew it was her from her voice in the episode where she asks Kagami to wake Tsukasa up during the golden week holiday. That and the off screen voice in episode 1, when Konata visits a sick Kagami at home.

Oh man, that was fucking excellent! I truly enjoyed this episode, it might be my favorite of all time!! Pure gold.


If I had never seen Haruhi, this might've been my reaction too....

Anyway, do these characters have any significance? They're female but their voices weren't done by guys....
