A good question I'd like to ask the manga readers is whether Raki ever becomes an awesome character. In the anime, he's been made into an idealistic chump whose only sole purpose is to serve as a plot device whether it's to keep Clare from awakening or to hypnotize Priscilla. Other than that, I haven't really seen him do anything useful which brings the question as to why he was put in there in the first place other than the fact that he's in the manga. As it stands, I could see this show taking place without Raki and nothing would really change in terms of plot.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Any word on whether there'll be a second season? From the way this series is proceeding, I'm expecting it to close out. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
That last episode was too painful to watch. The show definitely started going downhill after episode 17. Once the showdown began, the consistency and quality just became completely laughable.
My problems with the last episode can be summed up below: Spoiler:
I can sort of understand if this was done to preserve a shot at a second season. But if the plan was to create a second season in the first place, why deviate from the manga at all? By all accounts, the manga was pretty decent and everything fits in order. It's when they started deviating from the manga (after episode 17 I think) is when this show started becoming laughable. =\ This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
