I just want to declare my eternal hatred for MTV.

They don't support Mac and when trying to watch the KHII vids on a Windows computer, it lagged, skipped, and crashed.

I'm doomed to have to wait till the 28th -_- *goes back to waiting*.

And about them screwing up a "certain black mage".....
Spoiler:
From what I saw he looks the same as he did in FF9. I think RPGamer had scans of it....I can't seem to find them now though ><

Yeh, Seifer sounds cool. Gotta love the little "in-jokes" (for lack of a better term) for us FF fans. Hell, Roxas himself is cool imo

Blame the Censorship on the idiots we call the ESRB. They couldn't rate a game properly if they had about 40 12 Gauge Shotguns pointed at their head and other places. And after the "Hot Coffee" incident...the ESRB is even more idiotic now than before, since they have to be "extra careful".

The only one that makes even remotely sense is the Crosshair. ....But that change seems like it might affect gameplay, the Crosshair seems incredibly too bright.....could just be the glare off that TV though.

Gamespot > IGN by far.

Gamespot gave it an 8.7... They normally rate games more fairly. I agree with an 8.7 more than a 7.6...

IGN's KHI Review: Another example of hyping stuff up, then acting like it sucks in their reviews. 24: the Game got the same treatment.

IGN just doesn't understand how to play games anymore.......

Quinton Flynn does Axel? ...Awesome.
He's proved himself to be a great Voice Over imo. Good choice, at least on paper, I'm sure he does a cool Axel though.(he did Raiden in MGS2 and someone in FFX iirc)..

I was speaking idiomatically.

15 Hours in now

Spoiler:
Atlantica is addicting, but I hate how the world has to be done in parts, each chapter requires someone more ludacris than the last one. I need to be able to store 5 Drive Meters to progress.

Also..Wow..Kairi...looks great...err...wtf shes in Twilight Town now? AND TT IS BACK OPEN? YES!!!!

And Axel still rocks. Can't wait to get deeper into this plot line..its sooooooo mysterious

Yep, you lose both party members, turn into a Shadow/Heartless looking version of your self, and take 150% or 200% more damage.
Happened to me too while fighting the stupid Car Heartless in the Timeless River. MAN I hate those.

24 hours in....

Spoiler:
The World that Never Was is, by far, the coolest world so far. It beats out Hollow Bastion from KHI by a longshot.

I'm a little confused though, is there 2 ways you can enter "The World that Never was"? It appeared on the World Map at the same time Twilight Town suddenly became blocked (by a Gummi route), but I didn't try to enter it via the World Map; I entered through Twilight Town...
Just found it odd.
Still so much to discover >.> I saved in "Twilight's Call" and can't play for a while now ....must.....find.....Kairi......

Also, is it possible to revisit Space Paranoids or Timeless River?

Meh, just as a warning to everyone, Atlantica is evil......it and its stupid pre-requisites for each level...

I had that problem too....
Answer:
Spoiler:
Yes, you can go and it'll do the first story, then upon completion of that immediately unlock the 2nd story. Be warned, you will be confused though, since the first story takes place before the events in Hollow bastion, so you'll see Pete as the main villian :P

I believe you can still see the special ending without going there. Beating the game on proud mode doesn't require you to complete the journal to see the secret ending.
However, it still requires you to lock all worlds...

....Including Atlantica to the best of my knowledge

So....you can skip it to beat the game but you won't attain the secret ending. On any difficulty

However, I do suggest Proud Mode anyway in that respect, since in Normal you have to perform each song AGAIN. and If I have to perform "Swim this Way" one more time I swear to God I'm going to go hunt down Nomura and strangle him. Granted, the minigame was fun on some songs >.>;

End-game spoiler, beware

Spoiler:
Ok so I beat the game. 84% Journal. Thats great.
I'm just wondering...that dark-looking beach Sora and Riku land at....is that the darknesss filled Destiny Island? I remember seeing that place in the opening in the game too (I remember cus it was like "AWESOME" whent he same seemlessly switched between CG and in-game, a classic SE trick).

Other than that, I loved the final battle. Especially that really really final fight with Xemnas in the nausiating background place. All the Matrix-style cutscenes and the OMG LOOK AT ALL THE BULLETS PUSH TRI AND X QUICK OMG moment scared the living hell out of me. I also liked how challenging it was, I only died twice, once during the ship and once on the final final fight.
The ending almost made me cry too....but Sora needs to like.....learn a few things. Or maybe Nomura..or whoever rendered that movie.

That first song is horrible, but it gets better.

The renditions of the 2 Disney songs were better than I expected, and and other 2 songs (especially Ursula's Revenge) are actually fairly good and better than anything Disney has churned out recently (though thats not saying much.)

And nothing beats that final song.

Spoiler:
You get to hear Donald Duck sing. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing after that

But yeh, Atlantica was actually one of the worlds I looked forward to playing. I think it would be 10x funnier in Japanese...nothing like hearing Under the Sea in Japanese...

Are the challenges in Jimmi's Journal different/harder in Proud than in Standard?

I heard a rumor from someone who has the Brady Guide (its in the spoiler, just in case someone doesn't wanna read it. regards tournaments)

Spoiler:
Supposedly: Getting 100% on Proud grants access to a special Paradox tourney that allows you to fight every main boss from KH, the new fights that were in CoM (the XIII people), and many of the main villians from KHII. He says that the Guide hints at this hidden tournament.

Can anyone confirm/deny this?

The key is to use Reflect on almost a constant basis and hope you catch him with some reflect damage. Some of his attacks will reflect back almost an entire bar of his health worth of damage. Always watch for the reaction command as this will allow you to unleash an HP bar worth of combos on him. If he catches you on the ground and launches you up in the air, do an aerial recovery and you'll be able to break his air combo and start one of your own.

When he starts using that pillar of fire attack, you actually want to try to get into it and reflect that damage back at him. You'll take a bit of damage yourself, but I was able to right next to him when he did it and I reflected back about 3 bars of health back at him from a single fire pillar attack.

The Elixirs are for when he uses Sin Harvest. From what I've seen, its completely unblockable. When he uses it, do the reaction command then use an Elixir asap and start spamming Reflect.
Spoiler:
Sin Harvest is interrupted if you can jump and attack Sephiroth right as he goes "Sin....". Theres a window of about 3 seconds to hit him.
After he ends his little saying with "angel", its too late

You'll need High Jump Level 3 and the Aerial Dodge (where you can jump slightly higher) at lv 3 to hit him.

I just tried spamming reflect though, holy hell so THATS what reflect does X.X

Boss in Hollow Bastion 2nd time:

Spoiler:
I had trouble killing Demyx as well. Always be sure to use Wild Dance when you can, even if its not "Kill X forms in Y seconds", it'll do decent damage to Demyx himself as well.

I remember being knocked up into the air a lot, but I think I forgot to equip Aerial Recovery, so maybe try that.

Of all the boss fights in the game, Demyx, Xigbar and Xaldin are my favorites. Fairly tough, but not OMGWTFBBQ We're ALL GOING TO DIE! hard.

Anyway. I j ust want to take the time to say Poster Duty within 30 seconds is harder than any Sephiroth battle -_-;. I've missed it by about .10 of a second (thats a decimal folks) constantly.. -_-;

I unlocked the ending on Standard though, for the challenge. Once you get Poster Duty in under 30 secs, the Hades cup, and Sephiroth out of the way, its really easy. (but time consuming, 40 hours was spent -just- completing Jimini's Journal and hitting lv 99 for "Lucky Lucky")

Though, I want to shoot whoever decided that at the end of the game you can only find 4 Assassins in the ENTIRE GAME. I demand we hunt him down.

But, ah well, I shall play on Proud mode anyway! Expert on KH1 made me want to cry on some bosses (I think one of the NA-specific, later-added in KH:FM bosses gave me a lot of trouble), and I'm hoping at least on KH2 I can get my butt handed to me by a certain few bosses in the latter half the game :O

(Regarding the secret ending)
Spoiler:
That Secret ending was really really cool. Though, one question, in the crossroads where the keyblades were, people claim they see Sora's, Riku's and Mickeys. I swear instead of Sora's or Mickey's I saw the one Kairi was given in TWTNW. Anyone else think the same or am I just going crazy?

Put his post in spoilers..now for mine

Spoiler:
Honestly, I don't know. It seems like the next installment would be a bit of a big flashback. Though, yes, some of the figures bear resemblences to the main 3 characters. And it doesn't help their keyblades are there..

Anyway, Proud Mode is fun. I almost wish I started on Proud instead of Standard. I've died a few times, but nothing incredibly hard or stressful. I lost to Shan-yu Once, that door in Beast's Castle, and the big heartless boss that looks like Ifrit from FFX.

Its a nice challenge. I do wish I could get KH: FM though...I've heard its Proud mode is the equal to KH Hell..
