How is the picture quality compared to what you would see on a TV using the PS2s standard composite cables? Right now I'm using an XRGB 2+ to play my PS2 through an LCD monitor using the PS2 D-Terminal cable. Using the standard composite cable, and then switching to S-Video cables, the picture quality through the XRGB was pretty bad. Using the D-Terminal, however, the picture is really good - much better than what I was getting on my TV.
So how do you like the picture that you get through your TV Tuner, and how is the sound? And is there ANY noticable signal delay? I know you said that it was playable, but do you notice any delay at all? I ask because I'm going to college soon, and I don't want to bring my XRGB with me. If a TV Tuner card will yield similar quality for less money, then I might get one.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
