It's not bad. I love it but at times it's very, very challenging. I often found myself repeating stages over and over (Only at the Valkyrie story; chapter 3). Coins are not distributed a lot and a lot of seeds occupy my inventory.

It reminds me of the attack system in Star Ocean 3 and Rogue Galaxy: You run out of meter, you have to wait for it to refill. Quite a long wait in contrast to RG's "just block and it's full" but adds to the challenge aspect.

Graphics don't need mention since it's gorgeous. Feels like I'm reading a fairy tale with lots of pretty pictures.

Overall, challenging yet fun and mesmerizing to look at.

What I personally do is repeat the forest chapter and kill enemies in the whole stage. Drops of those seeds that make sheep grow on trees are common there as well as that "no photon necessary and when the seed ripes it hands out 12 photons" as well. With that, I just had about more than 6 lamb meat.

Oh, in Chapter 4 now.

Another is spamming grapes (also in the forest along with that seed that gives off 12 photons at once) and eating them so now I'm just a meager level 13 with a psypher level of 21, which helped me a lot in doing the 4th chapter.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Quite frankly, I've grasped the battle, item and the recipe systems. I found myself often repeating past stages to move forward (as well as buy items that will help me in my next dungeon).

Black Sword; Chapter 2-1.

And Mercedes may be my shortest run yet. Done in about 6 hours or so. Yeah, yeah, repeated stages and whatnot. Great stint in that is that I shot up from level 4-10 in just one meal. After that, everything was just child's play.

Doing the same for Oswald once I unlock some of the stages.

I was speaking idiomatically.

So yes, I've encountered Lacerta's hardest run yet. I had qualms too but I simply did was this.

Now at the epilogue of the Black Sword; can't wait for the final character. Also rose above Mercedes' power-levelling. Oswald eating a Salmon Escabeche and bam! 9 levels up. 4-13.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I like the character and all but it's like Mercedes with a limited range. Bah, I'll get used to her, I suppose.

The homing chain I found useful for most of chapters 3-7, third jump VERY USEFUL in Chapter 6 Act 5 (The one you mentioned. Take note people, this battle is HARD AS NAILS. I shit you not.
