Last year, I had some strobe lights, fog machines, and several large speakers playing the ambient music tracks from Silent Hill 3.
This year, I'm going to take it up a notch. There is a large patch of English Ivy in my front yard, and the day before Halloween, I am going to cut off some of the stray vines and make myself some ivy camouflage. Then I will lay down in the ivy and scare the people who come up to the door.
I'm far too old to go trick-or-treating, but I'll be damned if I'm not going to have at least some fun on this day.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
