Hahah, sorry man. Racing games seem to pull that kinda stuff all the time. It truly is the cheapest genre I can think of. Anyway, I seem to encounter win.exe in a lot of the older games I play, but I can't think of a better example than Mortal Kombat II. I'll just copypasta from the old thread since I'm lazy.

It can be frustrating, but it's a fact of life. Every game relies on win.exe at least a
little, even newer games that have great AI. Like, I don't doubt that the computers in Smash Bros. Brawl are smart, but that doesn't stop them from reflect-shielding every projectile and catching every item on Intense now does it?
