My sister has the 1.9ghz AMD x64 Turion in her HP laptop and it is sloooooooow. (It runs Vista Home Premium mind you and very hotly too).
Core 2 Duo is the way to go. What size laptop are you after???? Maybe we can recommend you one. Budget in $ or £ please. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Your best bet is one with the 8400m GT 128mb which is an introductory level DX10 graphics card.
I was going to recommend the new value range in the Vaio NR series laptop line but its probably out of your budget. There's nowhere I can't reach.

With Vista a minimum of 2GB of RAM is recommended, 2x1024mb sticks or more.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
