Play the music from the flash with the windows sound recorder running and set your audio input to be any noise going through the computer.
It takes a while, but it works. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Select the Stereo Mix as your input device. That should do the job.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Here's the way I'd go about it on my computer, and it should be standard across most PCs.
![]() ![]() ![]() This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
You might want to check your drivers to see if they're up to date. I think I got one or two extra when I installed the non-reference drivers for my sound device.
Also, if you have an Audigy card (as the one screenshot leads me to believe), how could you NOT have enough features to do this? Try seeing if you can change the Default Device to use. Also, be sure all the checkboxes are selected in the Options -> Properties menu in your sound panel. I think by default you'll only have Microphone and Line In selected, but you should be able to turn on more. (I also recall my old Soundblaster 512 having a thing called "What U Hear" which is the same thing as Stereo Mix except titled differently.) I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Hmm, I'm not really sure what to do to set it up so Sound Recorder will work if Stereo Mix doesn't show up.
I have a Dell laptop that's a few years old (Inspiron 5100) and looking at the recording button right now, I have the choice of Stereo Mix, CD Audio, and Microphone with the Mixer Device as the same Sigma Tel Audio guy that you do. I was speaking idiomatically. |
