There's shipping companies and whatnot which may be more worth it if you have stuff more valuable than Craigslist furniture, but if you're planning on boxing everything I'm guessing you'd don't. If you happen to have a car you'd be surprised how much junk you can cram in there, but if you're flying you probably don't (though you could always try to make a bit of a roadtrip out of it with a friend).

I guess you're good with that plan, but be sure to insure anything you ship. Also, books/cds can be shipped via media mail which, while a lot slower, is considerably cheaper than other methods.

And there's always U-Haul.
