[Amusing] The RPG Character Name Game

Reminds me a bit of Frank from Shadow Hearts 3, but I don't remember him fighting for the freedom of his country.

Man, my life sucks. I've only got two friends. One is my robot who I can't even afford a battery for, and the other is my long-dead friend that just exists inside my PDA. The first time you meet me I'm getting curb-stomped by a bunch of thugs because I didn't pay up on my debts. Eventually I go on to find a couple of other friends to go adventuring around the universe with, even at one point finding an entire planet which wants to befriend me. Sadly, the RPG mechanics in my game almost appear as an afterthought, and I'd probably have been better off just having been an adventure game.

My development was delayed even longer than Daikatana! Sadly, talk of me won't always make someone want to reinstall my game.

My game is also known for having witty dialogue and text that's worth reading (ie not a JRPG).

I imagine it's for the Genesis since you can see A, B, and C in the top left. However, I didn't own any RPGs for my Genesis, so I have no idea. I googled that dude's name and it returend Ys, though I've never played any, so I have no clue (and am too lazy to further google).
