New Speakers

So I'm looking at getting a new set of speakers. Mostly because my old ones are dead and I'm getting tired of only wearing headphones. My old set was an Altec Lansing ATP3 system, and I loved them, and am pretty much just looking for something of approximately the same quality.

The problem is, I've got a considerably smaller desk setup at my current apartment and don't have room for a very large subwoofer. I'd prefer a 2.1 system since I have no need for more speakers than that (not to mention nowhere to place them), though I'd be fine with a 2.0 system since I'm not super huge on bass. I mostly use my speakers for music and TV, since if I want to really get into a game the only real choice is to wear headphones. Having massive output volumes doesn't really concern me since I typically listen at pretty moderate volumes and don't like it when other people pump their music up, so I try to avoid doing it (not to mention I think that quiet hours is most of the day here).

So, pretty much looking to spend $75-$100, though I'd be willing to go a little higher if it's really really worth it.

Buy.com has these: Logitech Z10 Interactive USB Speakers - Review, Specs, Prices for $85 with free shipping, any comments on if that's a good deal or whatnot?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

So from Piccolo's comments in my journal and googling around a bit, I'm going to order the m-audio StudioPro 3 set. I couldn't find reviews for the other set anywhere, but this one has high marks everywhere it's mentioned, so I figure it should be a pretty solid buy. Also a bonus that I just got a $20 Amazon gift certificate for filling out a survey for the NSF a few weeks ago, so it helps out with the price any more.

Any reasons I should go with a different set of speakers before I go and buy them?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I don't want a 4.1 system because I don't have room for four satellites nor the space below my desk for a subwoofer.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
