The trick to reheating pizza is to use both a microwave and a toaster oven. I tend to put two slices in the microwave for 20-30 seconds depending on the thickness and then load it into a toaster for about 5 minutes from 350-400°. That way, the inside gets warm from the microwave, the crust gets crispy, and the cheese on top starts to melt a little bit from the toaster. With this trick I generally find pizza to be even better after reheating than eating it fresh out of the oven.

As for other foods, there's usually tricks for heating them up. Heating for half the time and then stirring to ensure more even heating and adding a little bit of water on top so the surface won't dry out are two good strategies. It's pretty rare I'll find foods which I can't make at least as good the second day. The biggest difficulty I've had is reheating grilled foods. They tend to get a much different texture by the second day.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
