Pretty much any text editor can do that. Notepad has a search and replace feature. It's in the Edit menu under the Replace option.

If you need something more sophisticated then MS Word has some very advanced options for Search and Replace such as the ability to search and replace only in certain instances. For example, if you wanted to replace every "or" in your document with "&" but only wanted to do it when following the word "apple ", then MS Word can do that with minor configuration.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
