I think Mortis nailed it in post 3. Same holds true for all the criticism towards Gamefaqs topics. You can find some intelligent discussion there once in a blue moon, but GFF is more consistent. Or at least, most members know of each other anyways, so the context is usually understood amongst ourselves.
I've inadvertently phased out from checking GFF daily, to just once in a while, since the last year of university got pretty busy. Then I realized there was no point in checking every day since I could come back after a month or so, search for replies in a thread I've posted in, and the updates wouldn't even fill the whole results page. I do miss the level of activity from a couple of years ago as well, but it's not like things can go back to how they were before. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
