I had always, ever since I was young, thought it was weird not to remove your shoes before you walk inside someone's home. I guess the idea of tracking dirt from outside to the inside really bugs me. As well, I haven't really been to anyone's place in which it was alright to walk around with your shoes on. People that leave their shoes on only stay for less than 5 minutes in our apartment, especially because they're not staying for an extended amount of time.
