My mom told me that I was spanked when I was in my wee years, when I was like 3 or something. I think it was because I cried too much for one thing, but I don't recall any other instances.
What's more interesting (and probably horrific), is that my friend told me that his parents one time grabbed a knife and then tried to scare the crap out of him by placing it to his throat when he did something that infuriated them in particular.
