I do like Hack Roots...at least I thought I did. I finally decided to try out watching a season of a Hack anime, and after the initial excitement about finally getting into the concept of "The World", I also felt how slow the series is going.
It took 6 episodes for Haseo to finally show some concern apart from all the apathy he tossed around for the first 5 episodes! It's drilled into my head now that:
Shino = mysterious
Ovan = THE mysterious
Tabby = annoying cat-girl
Ender = psycho PK bitch
Haseo = apathetic emo
etc.

I still want to follow it though. The quality is way too good to drop, but I keep having to check whether my bsplayer or wmp will play them, due to something weird LuPerry's/Za Warudo's subtitles not showing up for me depending on the player.

How ya doing, buddy?

Ooh good thing Shinsen's picking this up too! I'm just scared that there will be hardly any seeds since they're playing the catch-up game. For now, I'll have to watch for ZaWarudo's releases just to be safe, and download LuPerry's and hope they work in WMP
Perhaps it's a special codec or something, I dunno. It looks fine, apart from the no subtitles sometimes.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I use Anime-Source to get the torrents and there's no garbled gibberish there. You shouldn't have to right click -> "save as" too.

The other silly part about episode 6 was when Ender was running towards Sakisata and Haseo who were also running. Did you even count how long it took to zoom in on each character? That was a blatantly silly attempt to not have to redraw at least 10 seconds of footage...no emotional pause for justification in that scene!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah, I'm just watching it now so that I'll have knowledge if anyone brings it up in a discussion. They really are moving at a snail's pace.

Too much scenes like:
-cut to <insert random main character here> stares off into space, attempting some kind of vague symbolism
-drawn out discussion between <TaN member> and <Twilight Brigade member>
and my favourite overused scene:
Spoiler:
-Ender trying to kill/stalking <Twilight Brigade member/Haseo>

I get that Ovan is mysterious already.
I get that Haseo is emo already.
I get that Ender is a sadistic bitch already.
I get that Tabby is the standard annoying-as-hell cat girl.
I get that Sakisata's the "cool, I don't care" guy.
I get that Shino's the mysterious girl.

We just see these character's roles over and over again as they're forced upon us. Nine episodes, and they're still searching!

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

How about the song where the girl is singing (sounds like more ALI project vocals). The catch is it wasn't God Diva, National Catharsis, or Silly Go Round. It played during the big group battle at the Lost Grounds one time, and maybe one time apart from that. I don't recall hearing it on the OST, but then again I haven't listened to much other than "friendly like in a childhood".

I was speaking idiomatically.
