I don't actually believe in the concept of fate or destiny myself, but I really love the idea. I think it's neat to be able to claim that "it was kismet" or "he was destined to do it," as well as being able to place good luck or misfortune into either category freely.
Something in the first post made me think that destiny is impossible without hindsight. Now I'm starting to form this idea that we can already claim that what we've accomplished was our destiny because it's already been done and set in stone. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
