In love with a fictional character?

Never in love, I think that's weird, but I could understand it for computer and gaming people, probably because I'm stereotyping. I'm under the impression that this doesn't mean serious love and moreso of "strong admiration" or "infatuation".

I made a thread a while back about having crushes on fictional characters, and for me, it was Daria in particular. Her affect, her sense of independence, but also her underlying empathy and moral character made me think that if she were a real character, we'd probably be pretty compatible. I did like the kind of person that Daria was when I saw the show on air still, but I just think it'd be creepy to confess intense love. The whole time I was wondering: "I wonder if there's anyone in real life that's like Daria?" She intrigued me very much, but didn't evoke any feelings like that.
