I hope 3rd paties have other titles to release than the stupid Wii-makes. This new trend is not making me very happy about the Wii right now. If I want to fucking play gamecube games I will buy them on my fucking gamecube. If this continues it will ruin the system. Yea, a new Prince of Persia game, OH WAIT IT IS A FUCKING REMAKE OF PP: The Two Thrones, YAY!!!! I can buy that used on GC for 17$. YAY a new Medal of Honor game, Oh WAIT it is based on a PS2 game. You get the idea.
Companies need to start making software for the Wii and using the Wii's enhanced gfx capabilities. Further, they need to stop just trying to implement some half-assed motion control and design a game from the ground up for the control scheme. These wii-makes are not going to keep selling the system and in light of possible setbacks on Nintendo's major releases, they are making the 2007 release lineup look like utter asshole. I sure hope 3rd parties pull theire heads out of their assholes and start making real games for this system. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Don't get me wrong, I love the Wii. So far I have had more fun with Zelda and Wii sports than I could ever dream of on any of the existing PS3 or Xbox 360 games. My PS2 is still getting more play than the PS3 could get in a year of time because the vast amount of great games on it. I could care less weather the gfx are ridiculous, I just want them to be well produced, and have a high level of artisticness, like Zelda. Hell, Rougue Squadron 3 looks better than any existing Wii game ( I was playing it last night) yet it runs on a system half as powerful. Heck it even looks as good as some of the 360 games.
Its all about the programing and the willingness to sacrifice a little effort for what will eventually amount in a profit. There is a huge userbase on the Wii for it being this early in the game. DEVS NEED TO MAKE USE OF THIS AND RELEASE GAMES THAT PEOPLE WILL BE SALIVATING OVER. They will want it for its great gameplay and overall well produced look. None of this wii version of FarCry, from the "hey I wouldn't even be able to produce a good atari 2600 game" development team BS. It seems like this whole industry save for a few is turning into a bunch of half baked assclowns. All taking example from EA's patching team. edit: heh he said he's going straight over to grab his wii. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
woohoo, finally got my Wii. I found that some electronics asshat was hording 4 Wii's in the stockroom at Sears because I checked the inventory with the item # on the computer. So basically he had to bring it out and sell it. Soooo... with discount it was $239 including the added tax
![]() Currently crafting all the dictators of the world as Mii's I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I used the sears hand held computers that employees use, well I work there early in the mornig so its easy for me. but I can give you the item and division # of the Wii console so that you can ask an employee to check for you in the computers.
the item # is: 92000 division # is: 58 Good luck I was speaking idiomatically. |
I like the new browser a lot too.
I like how you can now zoom out if an image is too big for SDTV resolution. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Hey infernal, in what way is your Wii pointer glitchy? I have not had any problems except when I play Wii in the livingroom from more than 20 feet away on my roomates 60 some inch TV. The distance seems to cause jumpiness in the pointer but that can be remedied with a stroner IR source.

hmmm weird. I have not heard of that problem yet. Yea, my friend had to get his replaced after the first firmware upgrade and Nintendo of America was prompt about it, but again that is here and not where you are. Good luck with that, hopefully Nintendo of Australia will come through.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
