I'd be happy with them just releasing this as a d/l for one of the current systems but if the remade it by keeping the gameplay exactly the same but updating the graphics and music and maybe putting in some optional fights and class upgrades I'd buy it instantly.

There have been several games in the
Langrisser (Warsong) series, though I guess none have been (officially) translated. But fan translations exist for at least the second and third games. Check
romhacking if you're interested.
