I dunno about the rest of you (since I guess most are Christians) but of all the religions, the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path of Buddhism make the MOST sense to me.
Religion as a whole, though? Not that important. I'm much more worried about where I'll get my doctorate degree... Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Honestly, I have neither faith in religion nor in science.
I'm Buddhist, but it doesn't really seep into my life. Things ARE. That's the point, I don't try to find depth in them unless they're typed on a page and the author is absent. I suppose I'm buddhist for the same reason that some people are Christians: because if I'm right, I'm right, but if I'm wrong, this makes sense. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Honestly, I'm a semi Existentialist/Buddhist. I'm completely responsible for everything that happens, and If I'm wrong, I start from scratch once I die. It's like i've created my own religion, kind of. The convictions that I have change with time, as do all things (the whole impermanence deal), and they are greatly affected by the world around me, how I see it, how I interpret it. sorry, I'm in superior mode, I sound really pretentious at times. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
