This happens once in a while with StyleXP... something I use as well.
I just got a new laptop with Windows Media Center Edition, and I tried installing my version of StyleXP on it. It said that it was not compatible with MCE but worked anyway, except whenever I rebooted it reverted back to the classic style. That's until I updated it. Try updating it. Jam it back in, in the dark.
