When (and where) do you get this error message?

Have you checked if the NIC is correctly installed in the PCI (?) slot?
Also you should read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preboot...on_Environment

Hmm, but doesn't Aise tell us that the (error) message appears during the Windows setup? (or does it appear after POST?) But PXE processing should be initiated right after POST if I understand it correctly. And furthermore the system worked the other day. That would mean that it was connected to a network and DID boot from it.

What about removing the NIC from the system and check again?

There's nowhere I can't reach.
