Can't burn song and internet issue.

What program are use using for mastering the filesystem and burning the ISO?

Do you convert the audio into CDDA or do you just store the mp3s in a regular iso filesystem?
Have you tried verifying the mp3s that "can't" be burned? Try foobar2000 and convert one of the mp3s in question to a WAV. If the file has errors foobar will tell you so

To simplify the question: what product do you get: a data CD or a audio CD (redbook standard)?
Can you play the CD in a standard compact disc audio player (without mp3 support)?

You can also use the standard tools like ISOBuster to check this. Just insert a disc that you created earlier with this program and see what kind of filesystem is stored on the disc.
The amount of music that is one the disc is another indicator.

OK, so the audio data is fine.

So, do you have Nero Burning ROM? Or better, first another question: How much experience do you have with commandline programs? Because I would advise you to use mkisofs for mastering the filesystem for your disc (which is pretty simple and I could give you instructions what to do) and later using ImgBurn for storing the filesystem on disc.

But if you have Nero (which is also quite standard) you could use this too (I don' really recommmend it, but if you're inexperienced with the commandline then maybe its the best choice).

With Nero just create a regular data CD with the content in the root directory (I don't know your standalone-player and what capabilities it has concerning playing mp3 discs - I own a Philips DVP5505S which has support for deep nested directories, but I know some players that only will play the root directory)

So if you want I can guide you through the mastering process with mkisofs. Burning the resulting ISO with ImgBurn is a trivial task after that.

So if you want instructions I need a few more informations about your system. I assume you're using Windows XP (Home? Pro?) as operating system?
Then I would be nice to know the kind of device you're playing the mp3 discs with (DVD-standalone, another PC, etc.).

It's not ridicolous, it's doing it the right way. And I don't force him to use mkisofs, he can do whatever he likes to. It's only a suggestion.

Obvioulsy Acoustica does not do the job (I don't even know this software) and Nero is not available. And I won't encourage downloading unlicensed software if there is a free tool out there that does the job. And mkisofs does its job good.

Now you can install ImgBurn and unpack cdrtools into something like "C:\Program Files\cdrtools-2.01-bootcd.ru-w32", depending on where you store your programs (I usually use D for the programs).

Now you can fire up your editor of choice and create a batch file in the cdrtools directory, containing:
mkisofs.exe -v -iso-level X -J -V "Disc title" -o "image.iso" "C:\source_data"
pause

You have to replace the 'X' with your choice. I think you can stay with a setting of 3. 4 is nice if the player can handle it and provides much much longer filenames (a problem sometimes can arise). 'Disc title' can be replaced by the title the disc should have (displayed by the player/explorer/etc.) and 'image.iso' is the resulting ISO file, that you can burn.

'C:\source_data' is the directory you store the files in. So after modifying the batch file according to you needs you can create the source_data directory on C and fill it with the data that goes onto the disc.

Then you doubleclick the batch and wait for a while. Then better check for errors during the mastering process (things like too long filenames create errors, and such). After completing the mastering you can now fire up ImgBurn, select your burning device, select the ISO you just created and burn it to a CDR. Then test it, ft you're lucky it should work.
