No, they were taken with my dslr. When you said blown highlights, were you reffering to the cigarrette picture?

Oh yeah, more stuff! I decided to work with flowers since my mom requested I make an 8x10 print for her to hang up on the wall, here is what I got.

Neus: You're insightful critique is encouraging. Only recently have I thought about the meaning I'm trying to convey rather than just a pretty picture. Still working on that

, and yes flowers are boring to me too.

I am using a Nikon D50 with........THE KIT LENS! Reason being is because I am purposefully limiting myself to just that. However, there are ocassions when I wish I had a zoom lens, but that's what I have my old cannon for.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

They are indeed shitty and I'm saving up for the latest VR. I am using the AE-1 my mom had which has done me well so far.

Yeah, the 18-200 is what I want but I might invest in a cheaper zoom lens. By the way, has anyone tried out an infrared filter on a Nikon D50?
