What color profiles are you using? You should match your monitor with your printer. If you don't have any existing profile, use sRGB.

A caveat: even then it will not match perfectly. The monitor displays colors through an additive process - red+green+blue=white. The printer renders them through a subtractive process - white light-(cyan+yellow+magenta) = black.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

What are the results if you print outside Photoshop? IE, you pasted a picture in MS Word and printed it out?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I assume both your display driver and your printer are both set to the exact same ICM profile right?

In any case, I'm not very picky about accurate color representation, so I got nothing this time. Maybe you will have to buy that calibration device.

(With that said, I am quite interested in seeing this picture that you are trying so hard to print.)

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

You stated your printer was set to Adobe RGB.

Right-click your desktop wallpaper, select Properties -> Settings -> Advanced button.

This will differ according to your setup, but there *should* be a Color Management tab where you can specify a suitable monitor profile to use. I recommend you use a profile provided by your monitor manufacturer, and use that for your printer as well.
