I generally eschew no-CD cracks (which may not shut out all protection, may break certain features, and are obsoleted in game updates) in lieu of fixed images.

Alternatively, as Warcraft III is protected by SecuROM, you might want to try out some
anti-SecuROM tools and play the game while mounted on your favorite emulation tool (Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools). What these tools do is 'hide' the virtual drives from view, making the game think you're actually running it from a real CD.
