By the way, may I ask what you used to generate those power cards for the wiki? Except for Glenn and Puyet's Utility Powers, they don't look like screenshots from the pdfs, nor do they look like Character Builder output.

Dang. No searchable monster manual 3 monsters, updated monster stat blocks, and monsters with the new damage math.

Oh well, maybe it'll pop up soon on torrent sites

All of the times Cal tried to take initiative, it didn't end well.

For example, bridge crossing attempt in the Horned Hold was a total disaster salvaged only by Skills' and Acer's creativity.

And let's not talk about Lamidian portals. Or gorillas outta nowhere.

So, naturally I'm not well inclined to take the lead. Don't wanna get yelled at if something really bad happens. Let the new guys lead

I try to characterize Cal based on interpersonal encounters with PCs and NPCs. Though Pang seems rather intent on twisting Denny into nightmares

Just curious. The thief stabbed the Eladrin at point blank range, right? Where's he at now?

Oh, ok.

BTW, just looking through my wiki sheet. You can remove the Potion of Healing and Lightning Arrow from the consumable cards section. All used up (and no plans to brew up more).

Hey Pang old buddy. I was wondering if you are willing to take a quick browse through the compendium for any level 6-8 monsters other than duergar who are immune to (or better yet, are healed by) fire and acid.

It does not seem I can do this kind of search via Adventure Tools

A simple list of names will be great.

Thanks!

I guess I should've asked for at least a "resist 10" instead of immune. Still, that list is useful (too bad the fire-resistant creatures are weak to radiant)...

Thanks man

The problem with "immediate response from the DM" is that you don't always want that. Sometimes it seems better to give you guys a little time to respond to each other. Like, when Zerg does something, I want to give you the opportunity to stop him from doing it.
When I do something that involves them, I always give them the chance to back out/stop me! Why else would I invoke a count to three?

I know it's kinda asking too much, but I always feel safer to proceed when there's a map presented. Of course, the reverse is true because of traps. But I just do!

Hey fuck you buddy.

Far better than trying to catch us out with resistant monsters would be to chuck a fucking shit load of things we can murder with ease at us and turn it into a survival battle. How many highly flammable minions can we murder before we go down (Not many probably given our inability to kill more than one thing at once).
Did you know that fire is the most common resistance out there?

But anyway, I asked for it by going all Monty Haul without the requisite rebalancing (e.g. item daily powers). No, I'm not going to hit you exclusively with fire- and acid-resistent monsters. That would be terribly unsporting, and you know how OCD I can be with 'fairness' and 'honor'. That doesn't mean I'm going to be tossing fire-vulnerable enemies en masse at you either!

I'm a little dissapointed you didn't think to attack us with a bunch of goblins riding beasts and chariots so we could have a Mad Max-esque running battle with Ebony jumping from vehicle to vehicle killing people and Ivory trying to steer out of trouble and shoot people's wheels off.
I'm still adhering to an XP budget. Giving enemies extra gear kind of throws the calculations off. Buuuuuut, if that's what you want, why not...

One of the reasons I don't want to kill you immediately is to see what kind of plans you come up with. Don't disappoint me

Maybe set a battle on thin ice which requires you to move at least six squares a turn to not fall through or something?

I'm going to save up for a Griffon if we survive the day.
Hmm, I still like to keep a logical narrative although I'm obviously railroading you. We'll see!

* Scribbles in notepad *
- Shin wants more unorthodox battles with interesting terrain.
- Give enemies flying mounts.
- Hope Ivory's insured against falling damage.

Oh that's interesting did wvlf become a black mage in the last couple of days

Oh, he didn't

How awkward for us both
On the bright side, he has 1 day more (48 hours from Gheth's post) to wake up so as not to invoke Pang Rule 1!

With a start, Cal realizes he has no idea where Gary is. Perhaps he had been left behind in that cornfield.
Nyet. Gary's in the museum room. Sent him back a few posts ago

Did he listen? Pfft.

Hopefully we can get more goblin and skeleton minions from the Temple!

When you push, the enemy must move (in any direction) further away from you with every step. If you want to move them in any direction, including drawing them to you, that's a slide.

Flute of the Dancing Satyr! Tundra Wind! Tune of Ice and Wind! You are missed.

Regardless, forced movement doesn't attract opportunity attacks.

Would you be doing this "Everybody Move" thing before Gheth, so he gets spared from some potentially punishing retaliation?

P.S. I don't suppose anyone's up for a little Heroes of Light diplomacy?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yeah, but apparently it takes a standard (houseruled to minor) to use it in combat.

+5 Strength modifier <-- use dexterity mod (+0) for ranged attacks
+3 Half your level
+2 Proficiency bonus <-- not available for improvised weapons
+2 Weapon Enhancement bonus <-- not available for improvised weapons unless Garr uses his augmenting whetstone on it

I reckon a halfling projectile is for all intents and purposes an improvised thrown weapon. +3 attack bonus, 1d4 damage. If you successfully convince Pang it should count as "heavy thrown" then it's +8 attack roll, 1d4 + 5 damage.

----

Heh, strike 2 for GFZ. This is a first, Pang introducing a new party member and killing him right off.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Damn prone halfling

Pang, is Cal in a position to ascertain whether Black Mage is holding any melee weapons? That is to say, any chance for BMAG to do opportunistic melee basic attacks?

Ok, thanks. Next question!

Suppose Cal wants to confiscate Black Mage's staff and taunt him by holding it over his head out of reach for the little guy. How do we go about this mechanically? Might I be able to argue this as an act of Thievery?

Pang, combat advantage gives +2 to attack rolls. Will you extend this "+2 bonus to your attack rolls" to enemy disarm attempts? I'm contemplating whether to use my (never ever ever before used) racial encounter during my next turn.

___

Psst Garr. Wanna help disarm a black mage? (Or maybe Garland --- +6 Athletics vs Fort 18 is better than +8 Attack Rolls vs his 21 AC anyhoo). If Pang agrees on combat advantage bonus, flank 'em first (if you're willing to risk an OA to move to O107). Sheathe the sword first before disarming so you can steal his wapon!

(Okay, why's Garr bloodied after an 11 HP hit? He didn't surge to full after last battle or something?)

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Pang, I'm debating whether to activate Weave Through the Fray or Yield Ground.

What happens if I cause a mini-time warp by activating the former? Will it nullify the charge attack damage?

Insert disgruntled thumbsucking about Cal as more easy to eat than a halfling white mage who's spouting blood.

Zeph, I activated a power that shifts me back 2 squares. So you're going to have to combine your move and charge to reach the Rampager (who's at N111 or N112).
