Athletics
I'm basically making this thread in response to another thread that was made in General Discussion forum discussing how many of us treat video gaming as a full time hobby.
So basically throughout the community do we have any big time athletes out of our entire motley crew. Did you play more sports when you were younger compared to right now? What were some of the sports/activites you've played on a consistant basis? What would you consider your best athletic talent? Care to share any interesting stores based on any of your athletic talents? Even though I've been a big time geek throughout my entire time in high school. I was actually fairly athletic, I played a lot of sports in high school since coming from a small high school there wasn't really much else to do. In High School the majority of the sports I played was hockey, basketball, badminton, soccer, and table tennis. I actually consider basketball and table tennis to be my best sports. I gave up playing hockey as soon as I graduated high school. I wasn't really much of a stellar player. They did have a nickname for me especially in my last two years of minor hockey. The guys on the team use to call me bruiser, I always played on the checking line when it came to us playing tournaments. It was a lot of fun I gave a few good checks, but you have to give it as good as you can take it. I still played a few sports when I went to university but it was mainly for fun and even then the only sports I played throughout my time at university was basketball, badminton, and the friendly yet rough game of football. I also picked up playing ultimate frisbee with the theatre & fine arts students. I've pretty much haven't had much time to do anything athletic these days with work and my social life being so incredibly busy, but I'm hoping this summer to do a bit of cross country mountain biking; my fiance got me involved with downhill skiing and I really enjoy that and from time to time, if the opportunity presents itself I'll play table tennis and basketball as well. I also get a lot of exercise from playing DDR & ITG as well. I'm hoping this summer, I'm going to try swimming, my fiance really wants me to try to get over my fear of water, so we'll have to wait and see what happens. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]()
