New sound card.
I figured this would be the best place to ask, so, I'm looking to purchase a new sound card, but I'm not quire sure what to look for. My current one is old (around 7 years old), and has been giving me problems for years, so I kind of need to replace it. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? I'm not really interested in spending more than $140.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
The AuzenTech sound cards sound nice. My only problem with buying a non-Creative sound card, though, is they most likely will lack the ability to load sound fonts.
Also, I don't use Windows Vista, and have no plans on switching to Vista, so lack of Vista support doesn't bother me. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Edit: Although, this worries me: "Every once in a while the card will output a loud and unceasing tone from bootup. A reboot is required to hault the tone." This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
