Before touching anything, give TestDisk a try. It's one of the most powerful data recovery utilities I've ever encountered. It's primarily designed to retrieve lost (or unreadable) partitions.
For file recovery, Ontrack Easy Recovery Pro is the way to go, hands down. I don't think it excels at partition errors, though. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
All I can tell is that you need to select the damaged partition, recreate and save it, but if you're not sure what exactly you're doing, I suggest stopping here or you might run the risk of losing your data forever.

Yes, that should write the restored partition structure to the MBR, rendering the partition data to be accessible again.
