I've played the game already and it's absolutely fantastic. I'm loving the controls especially, just running around battling enemies is tons of fun. Dungeons are short but exceptionally well designed, puzzles are elaborated and the fact that you can travel between numerous islands is amazing. It's like Wind Waker, but good.
I'm only about an hour in, but I can already tell that this game is beautiful and huge. Phantom Hourglass also offers the best DS graphics ever, hands down. It's just an overall wonderful experience and easily surpasses Twilight Princess in almost every aspect. The DS needs more "full" games like this. How ya doing, buddy? |
The Japanese is very import-friendly, though. You can tap Kanji in text boxes to display them in Furigana:
![]() How very convenient. You still require a decent grasp of the language to solve the first puzzle, though. I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed in the ship traveling part. So far, it seems a bit pointless to me and doesn't really fit in with the rest of the game. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I actually like the US cover a lot better, if only because of the ridiculous amount of water on the Japanese cover. THIS IS NOT PIRATES!!!
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Why is this game ten times more awesome than Twilight Princess?
Oh, probably because Twilight Princess was crap. Right. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
