[DS] Front Mission (DS)

I suppose they are referring to the Front Mission 1st remake here, because I'm pretty sure Front Mission DS is not going to include Front Mission 2 missions and storyline.

I think by "first one" they're indeed referring to Front Mission 1st, the PS remake of the original Front Mission for the SNES. This includes an alternative USN campaign that we already know will be making its way to the DS version. We also know that one or more characters from Front Mission 5 are said to make an appearance, which is fine, because that game was more related to the original game than any other in the series. But characters and story elements from Front Mission 2!?

Would anybody with further information on this care to clarify?

Also for the record, there never was a "Front Mission 2nd". The name of the original Front Mission sequel was just "Front Mission 2" ever since.

Actually, the Front Mission formula didn't change much throughout the series. And no, there's no tweaking in the DS port. It plays exactly like the SNES game with the additional scenario of the PS1 port.
