Slow download speeds are usually not related to the specific client you're using, but a configuration error on the user's part. Every client I know is capable of achieving great speeds with their default configuration if you have your ports forwarded correctly. uTorrent is not an exception here.

From my experience, Azureus just picks up DHT seeds and peers a little faster. It still doesn't make any significant difference, because being connected to faster seeds and peers is entirely random and you will rarely be able to use your full download bandwidth over longer periods with any P2P client.
In the end, the different DHT implementations of uTorrent and Azureus are equally good in the long run. uTorrent is much less ressource-demanding at it, though, but we've already established that much. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
