Wow, this game is amazing. The graphics are the best I've ever seen on the PSP. Combat and controls are the best for the series as well. I didn't expect too much from Silent Hill Origins but I was totally blown away. If they take their time to tweak it even further, the end result is sure to be outstanding.

I just wish I could make screenshots, but for some reason, they come out all distorted (using SVCapture). The game seems to use an odd video mode, maybe that's the reason.

I also like how the "demo" ISO contains every single FMV and the complete soundtrack, apparently. There might even be away to unlock the entire game ...

I've just got the demo, but have never dealt with ISO loaders before. I got firmware 3.40OE-A by Dark Alex. What do I do? Which loader worked for the SH 0 Demo?
Just put the file into the \ISO\ folder in the root of your Memory Stick and load it via the game item in the XMB.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm using the same custom firmware (3.40 OE-A) and my CSO works perfectly. It's probably just a configuration error.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Here's a bunch of screenshots:

The visual detail is just stunning. Also note how the flashlight is casting real-time shadows for all objects.

How ya doing, buddy?

There have been a whole lot of excellent PSP games lately and they all look an awful lot better than PS1 games. Remember that PS1 didn't have texture filtering, so everything was really pixelated. Granted, the PSPs weakness is the limited graphics memory (2 MB), so a lot of these textures are blurry.

Looking at Silent Hill Origins and upcomming titles such as Wipeout Pulse and God of War, I would say PSP graphics are a lot closer to PS2 than they are to PS1, actually.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
