Finding a hard copy of and beating Super Mario RPG for the first time. This happened probably about 6 years ago. I used to rent that game a lot when i was like 8 years old, but i could never beat the game start to finished when i was that young.
Oh man, similar story here. A couple years after getting an SNES (first console) for my birthday, I saw Super Mario RPG at a KB Toys and just had to have it despite not knowing what the fuck kind of game it was; I just really liked the style of the graphics on the cover, haha. But as a kid who had only played platformers and beat 'em ups, obviously an RPG was way over my head and I had no idea how to play the game. Although I ended up having some fun just doing random shit, I didn't seriously play it until a couple years later when I actually understood how to play. But even then I still didn't beat it . . . I literally saved before the final boss and then just never played it again. Fast-forward about 8 years later and out of boredom during my senior year in high school, I popped it in and beat that shit in 15 minutes. Even though I had forgotten almost all of the storyline and the final boss was so easy, it was still so satisfying to finally complete something that I had started so long ago and something that I wanted so badly as a child.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
