How's Ky?! How's Ky?! How's Ky?!

Anyway, I'm glad Sol's Dustloop is gone (and now, Sidewinder...) and that Eddie is being balanced. I haven't read much on Slash because I'm finally learning to play #R (a little late). So, what I'm wondering is if Ky still has the VT loop. I don't want to sit there and learn it if it's not going to be in Slash. And I'm guessing there is only a PS2 version planned?

COCONUT!

*Sigh* I played Ky since GG...I can finally pull off the VT loop, although, only with a Greed Sever (which isn't very good...and this is #R, Xbox). I don't understand the Impossible Dusts or whatever.

Anyway, I also play Zappa I'm guessing I'm pretty decent with him. So did they nerf his 2HS hitbox with the ghosts?

And my little bro wonders about Chipp. He plays him a lot, and would like for Chipp to be at least decent in the upcoming Slash (even though I will probably never get to play it).

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Sorry for asking, but does Ky still have VT (Vapor Thrust) Loop? I can't find any info about it. I just need to know so I can stop doing it if it's not there anymore.

Actually, I find stick easier to play with, even though mine sucks really bad. Playing with a pad feels weird after a while (after playing with a stick) and then I can't even use the PS2 controller anymore. I think I got too used to the Xbox's analog control.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Oh well, I'll just use VT loop to be flashy.

I've heard (from Dustloop) that the PS2 Slash is probably not Arcade perfect...so, do any of you think that matters? I mean, if tournaments are console only, then I guess it wouldn't. Then again, you'd have to totally go out of your way just to play a Slash machine.

And I believe Judgment will come out by this summer. Probably around June, if the release dates are correct.

I totally hate how GGDS looks likeis a pile of crap

I dunno what other people are complaining about. The only real things is that Eddie and Dizzy seem to be weakened. Otherwise, the PS2 version has a couple of bugs and glitches that (probably) aren't present in the Arcade. I'm not quite sure though, so don't quote me on that.

I was speaking idiomatically.

With Eddie, you can almost do anything and win (in #R). Eddie's combos are pretty devastating and if you make one small mistake, it's game over for you. I've played Eddie a little, and I know (I think) why he's top. I've actually never done any unblockable attacks, but I don't even have to do any and I can win. I might as well add that I'm just playing with a couple friends and my brothers...and they don't know that much about it.

What I've heard about Dizzy is that she really sucks now because she no longer can cancel her sweep (2D/Low Dust; not really sure what is meant by this, because I don't play her) and that her defense mod is like Chipp's (probably in #R). Well, really, I guess I should just do this (considering the fact that I've not played this game yet):

He still has combos to unblockable which now take ~50-60% health off the opponent, in some cases without even requiring a complete Eddie gauge, While it's true this is nothing compared to his previous incarnations, the fact that most other characters can't do much damaage in Slash will end up being his saving grace.

Dizzy - Yay, Dizzy sucks. Considered by some to be the absolute worst character in the game, as she now takes insanely high damage and has lost much of what made her good in #Reload. Her broken low dust (2D) has been weakened in that it's no longer cancellable to any special. So no more 2D XX Fish lol FTW. The fish also disappears if you hit Dizzy, which is nice. Her health is so low that it only takes something like 6 Volcanic Vipers to kill her now - awesome stuff indeed.
I'm just glad that Ky's better now.

As for some glitches, I've heard of something that can let a character always IK ABA. This is supposed to happen during a 1-2 frame period, but nevertheless, if you practice this enough, it can mean an ensured win (provided you have 50-100% Tension and can knock her down 3 times when she's in her Moroha or whatever). This is supposedly only in the PS2 version. But I don't know. Then there are a lot of game freezing glitches that I've heard of.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

As a scrub, I've played Ky since GG. I still play him and right now I feel like I'm really good. Played Slash last week, It's cool. I still gotta get used to Ky's CSE using dust instead of HS, but oh well.

Accent Core. Cool, but didn't they just release SLASH a while back? I mean, it's probably gonna take a while for this to actually be released, but still. Anyway, I've heard (from Dustloop) that the new characters were false, or at least not confirmed.

I like how they're going to add stuff like EX moves, but that sounds kinda weird to me. Oh, how I wish I could play test this game. I think Robo-Ky is still in there (just not GGXX Robo-Ky). Also sounds like Millia's now a beast (though, she was always good/great/whatever).

Picked up Judgment yesterday (or at least my brother did). Judgment is pretty cool, but you lose a lot of things. There are only three buttons for attacks, and your tension gauge is also your burst (you need a full tension gauge to burst I think). All in all, it's pretty fun, I'm probably gonna buy another PSP so I can check out co-op. Should be fun.

Controls, on the other hand, suck. First of all, I can barely RC. Which means no VT loop (because it's #R and not SLASH ) Dustloop can be pulled off, but it is a little harder. And there is an easy mode, as in controls. I'm guessing it's like Bleach DS (or some other game I don't know about) where you press 26 to do a fireball. For instance, Gunflame can now be inputed as: 26P. Makes it a helluva lot easier, with no stick and all. Unfortunately, RC's are hard to pull off. Really. Half the time I go for RC I accidently go into IK mode.

And, lastly, is Fragment part of the Japanese release?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yeah Arc, I know about that (replacing Respect for RC). I'm actually doing that right now. I once tried for Axl's bomber loop for such a long time (it's a lot easier with a stick), and it's still pretty hard for me to do it. I guess I need to time the FRC's correctly. It's kinda hard to press L for anything, imo.

The controls are kinda bad, but I don't think I'll need to mod my PSP right now. At least they're not like Darkstalkers controls.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Don't they have HOS's Dragon Install in the move list? Anyway, it's not very practical and you'll only land it if you opponent is dizzied or something.

And also, for simple questions, you can go to many other places to find out the answers...

Lastly, why would you want to play this on your PC?

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Yeah, You need level 3, Full Tension.

This is all you need. GAMEFAQS

Possibly go to Here also, but I dunno.

Oh, and if you're talking about the Dragon Install that the computer does when he's about to die, then I don't believe there's a way to pull it off. The one where he regenerates and stuff.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Man, all this talk about Slash is making me want to play it (and yeah I know accent core is coming out very soon). Since I don't have a Modded PS2 or any way to play imports, I must ask: Does the arcade emulator have any problems? Like, slowdown, lag, graphical glitches, etc.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I hate playing with pads but I don't like keyboards too. Seriously, how do you control your character j_xker? If I go the PC route to play Slash, it's gonna suck because the only controller I can use is a 360 controller. I really wish I had a PS2-PC converter (so I use my arcade sticks, even though they are crap).

Yeah, Max, if you could let me know where that stuff is, I'd appreciate it. Oh, and what are your PC specs? I have a crappy notebook/laptop that I usually play stuff on (Melty Blood).

@ TheXeno: If you're talking about Guilty Gear Judgment, the Japanese version has Slash, but it's probably mostly in Japanese. You'll still recognize the basic stuff (like ARCADE, VS, etc.). So if you want to play Judgment and understand what is going on, go ahead and get the US version, but if you don't mind story, go for the Japanese version.

Nice, I can barely play anything with a keyboard (even though some were max guard, but still, fun stuff). I tried Melty Blood with a keyboard but I always input directions wrong and stuff. Do you only play the PC version?

And you play Ky?

Jam it back in, in the dark.
