RAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM WRYYYYYYYYYYY

Hi I have 2gb of RAM, 4x512mbbbbbsxsss

My computer hangs like a motherfucker and has been doing it since I got it over a year ago, but it does it sporadically. It happens several times a day, and sometimes not for two days on some boots. But it gets on my nerves when it crashes over and over again, and when it restarts it may quickly crash again before windows is even fully ready to go.

I've reformatted and reinstalled windows several times so it leads me to think that I have a RAM problem. Do any of you nerds out there share my diagnosis?

I'm currently doing a RAM swap test as we speak having taken all but 1 stick out, but I just wanted to check if I should do this quickly giving it maybe an hour between replacing each stick should be enough to make her go arse over tit. Well... basically would it be a thorough enough to fuck around a bit on each RAM stick to see if it crashes immediately, or should I put each one through a longer and more rigorous test period?

advice/comments/suggestions?

My computer is very fast and very sexy, but the crashing thing totally gets on my nerves to the extent that it completely disrupts any internetting or anything else I'm doing on it.

thx in advance <3

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8IPE775-G

and the RAM is 4x Veritech 512DDR

I'll somehow find a floppy disc tomorrow and give that a shot.

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll post more when I have more evidence 8-)

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I tested the RAM and it seems to be fine, but concerning the power supply I did some tests. Does anybody know how to read this and if it looks normal?

VCore1: 1.26V
VCore2: 2.58V
+3.3V: mean 3.24
+5V: mean 3.58
+12V: mean 11.82
-12V: mean -5.40 (drops to around -2 -0.something constantly)
-5V: mean -1.93 (drops to -0.something a lot)
+5V: mean 4.39
VBAT: 4.08V

I don't know anything about these but shouldn't those figures be closer?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
