Well I specifically noted it Redemption and Pre-season 7 discussion expecting there would be more discussion about them then there actually was.

Going to have to change this thread title come Tuesday though.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

LOL. I just got done watching the extended version of Redemption. I actually only noticed two little scenes that werent on the TV version even though they said it was 10 extra minutes.
Spoiler:
In one, they have the second-in-command Sangala guy who was assumed to be killed by the mine Mr Benton stepped on, being alive just barely
. Anyway going to watch with the commentary before Sunday.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

They better have more original storylines than that.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Boring? IMPOSSIBLE! Started means what? One ep, two eps? Anyways the show probably has the biggest shocking moment and unboring moment in the first episode than any show ever. I just don't get it.

There must be something strange going on here.

By the way the show improves every season.

That is a spoiler dude.

The 2 hour premiere kept me enticed throughout, but it wasn't mind-blowing.

I was speaking idiomatically.

RR your spoiler did not work and I am pretty sure much of the monument stuff is CG, as the executive producers stated on the Redemption commentary. These early episodes probably at least a year ago were filmed. Mostly in L.A.

And the third episode was one of the best ever in my opinion. 4th decent. Overall pretty good so far, so if it can maintain the intensity of the 3rd and 4th, I will be quite pleased.

And it seems to me that the SS guy watching the First Gentleman is part of the conspiracy. And the FBI guy who called in the reroute the FBI mole. And the Sec. of State (black guy), a conspirator as well since he didn't want the invasion. Although they could flip it on me.

oh and the only thing that really bothered me was Jack driving through (bricks? or concrete). It couldn't have been concrete, because that would be highly unrealistic no? wouldnt the car just demolish itself if it was?

Yeah and there were many inaccurate locations in LA too when the show was taking place in that area. The show has never tried to depict actual locations in the most realistic detail.

That is would it seemed like. Jack would never do such. At last resort would shoot them where they could easily survive.

Come on now that was like 5 seconds total. Frankly, the office drama has been significantly toned down this year from the last few seasons. However, that could change for sure. Anyway this is leaps and bounds over season 6 and 4 so far for me.

Ok I liked this last episode, but not as much as last weeks.

Two things bothered me. One they totally skipped any sense of real time with the paramedics at the start of the ep. They could have at least held them off for two minutes, but they were there literally seconds after Jack said get an ambulance.

Two, how did Sean, the mole send a warrant before he got Janis to tap into the feed for him? Did he just guess what was going on? Am I missing something here. This really really bothered me, and knocked down the episode a ton.

No I am pretty certain that is not the case as Jack Bauer always announces the time after the Previously on... segment. Therefore, the time starts then.

God this season has been high quality throughout so far. Great action, great writing (besides more moles), awesome lines from Jack, good acting all around, good beginning villain, Callery's score is doing a fine job, and the 24 regulars (Buchanan, Chloe, Tony) make it much more interesting. Tony in particular just seems to make it that much better as he did in the first 5 seasons.

Highlights of this week definitely included the Jack/Renee argument, and the final scene Jack and Tony on the Washington steps overlooking the Washington Monument.

Hodges: "They're six-year olds, Greg. They need to eat their carrots". [[laugh]]

Tony: "It's two against ten."
Jack: "Two against *nine*."

Another great episode. Loving this season. Only major complaint was the white house episode.

Too bad no GFFers seem to watch this anymore, but its not crazy since this GFF is not the GFF of old. Probably all watching anime - Megalith

Well Mandy has gotten away three times. From Gaines, from Palmer Assasination, and from Season 4 events. But she is not a main villain.

I assume that Starkwood has a cure stocked somewhere that probably took them quite some time to develop. And since this bio weapon kills within 1 or 2 days, the authorities probably won't be able to develop one that quickly. And someone will find the cure and give it to Jack and whoever else gets infected. Just my guess really.

Definitely one of the best seasons ever. Right up there with 1 and 2.

Spoiler:
Thank god, they didn't kill Tony. Even though I don't consider him fully evil, just quite corrupt now, I was sick of them killing all of the baddies before there time. I actually wanted Dubaku, Juma, and Hodges to survive because they seemed so underutilized. Not to mention they kill too often in the show. Bills time was up, but not Tony who has been in the show since the beginning. It would suck if it was just Bauer and Aaron, and Novick who have been staples.

I was telling my family and friends that this season would be a total waste if they didn't really explain Tony's motives before the finale, but I thought they did so reasonably enough.

And are we to assume Renee went through with it? And would he actually give up anything? Doesn't seem like he would to me.

Loved the Bauer/Muslim dude scene.

Oh and this is an emmy and globe season for sure for Kiefer. I think he has a reasonable chance at winning next year. He didn't have a shot at all in season 6. Although I actually would root for Michael Chiklis if he gets a nom for arguably one of the greatest seasons of any show ever (The Shield), But back to 24...

Oh and the Kim story was really good this time!
