Smallville (Season 5 Discussion)

Same thing goes for 24 thread. USE SPOILER TAGS FOR UNAIRED EPS AND AIRED PREVIEWS PLEASE.

For all things Smallville basically go here
http://www.kryptonsite.com/

Since we are on hiatus until March 30th, next ep is TITLED
Spoiler:
Hypnotic
I figured we could talk about your opinions of Season 5 so far and what you liked/did not like.

In regard to the the last episode, "Cyborg", with the teen titan, I thought was very good, just a little behind "Run" of last season for comparison to other future heroes. Lots of shit happened primarily with Lionel/Martha and the Lana/Clark. I really want Lana and Clark to be together with her knowing the secret, and THEN realizing that it will never work becuase he has a bigger destiny, but I don't know if that will happen after what happened in "Reckoning". Basically he won't tell her now, because he knows she is too close to Lex and he would know immediately that she knows, and he can't let that happen. It is not because she is in more danger when she knows the secret because she is always in danger. It is the Lex factor. She thinks there is still good in him because he is actaully a good liar and she can't read him like she can Clark. If only Clark just fucking tells her, and tells her everything about what Lex has done. However, that won't happen. My bet is that she just finds out on her own now. Who knows though.

Meh I will leave the great Lionel (John Glover holla) discussion until later.

Also, I was just accidently spoiled on a guest star next ep.
Spoiler:
James Marsters
I would have rather not known, but what are you going to do.

How ya doing, buddy?

Yeah "Void" was pretty sweet I thought, which was the last episode. The episode that returned from hiatus "Hypnotic" was rather weak. Although Fine was great in it, of course.

Void just had so many spectacular scenes. Clark running to Honduras, the Johnathan scene, Lex/Mom piano scene, and the Clark is stunned, he has no idea what to say to Lionel "Goodbye.........CLARK!, scene.

No the whole thing wouldn't have happened if Johnathan didnt win the senate race (or you could say Lionel caused it by giving Martha the campaign money, etc), but that was his fate and caused Lex to get pissed off at his life. And Lana would have died because of Clarks death earlier in the season, but Clark turned back time, and Jor El: The universe will find a balance. Clark just didnt know it would be Johnathan.

Also Thursday will be the third new episode since the hiatus. Just download the eps you missed.

Well I for one don't care about promotion because it spoils the episode, so I avoid them at all costs. The ratings are low because of the over month hiatus and the fact the "Void" was the only real good episode. "Hypnotic" and "Fragile" had their moments of greatness, but were just mediocre eps overall.

However, I hear we are in for some great stuff in the last 4-5 eps.

Oh and Ridah, I can't post at Kyptonsite. I have been there forever, but It will never allow me to login no matter hwat I do. I can register just fine though.

I got a feeling the last four eps will be fantastic. I mean they should be with all the storylines left unfinished. Can't wait to see what happens with Lex/Clark/Fine and Clark/Lionel/Martha. As well as Lana/Lex/Clark. I am hoping that Lana actually find out at the end somehow about Clark and Clark tells her evverything about Lex and so she stays away from him for the most part. However, I am probably wishing too much from TPTB.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Yeah, it wasn't that Fragile was bad at all. It was just done already. Frankly, the A storyline was the same thing as "Stray" in season 1.

It was an alright episode.

I do have to say though that Season 5 was on its way to be the best season ever for the first half of the season up to reckoning. And the second half has just been average.

They could have done so much more stuff with Milton Fine and other shit in the second half and not wait till the season finale or whatever they may do. Seriously, they couldn't keep up with the greatness of the first half.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

See now that does not need spoilers since the ep already aired. I just took a chance that it was about tonight so I clicked on it.

Seriously, tonights episode kicked ass.

The only thing I didn't like is that you could tell that they should have spread this virus thing it a little bit longer. Not basically have it in the final two episodes. It made it seem very complicated, and in all actuality I am still kind of confused on the whole subject, which basically never happens on smallville.

Jor El most likely(Lionel) killed one brainiac spawn. One was talking to Clark and Martha as Johnathan and the other two if they didn't form back into the others are still wandering. Oh and Brainiac injected him for a reason and I doubt its too have kryptonian powers. Because well they arent kryptonian powers and even so.

And I bet Lana will find out about Clark when he is weakened by Kryptonite and Lana sees the meteor rock near him.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Very interestng finale, but it was the WORST finale on this show bar none. I am sorry, but ever since the going back in time thing in Reckoning, the show went downhill this season. If you take this season up to Reckoning, it is the best series of episodes ever.

"Vessel" was just so all over the place. They ruined Lana's character it seems ever since Clark going back into time and lana heading toward Lex.

The special effects of the cities were not good and Lionel not dying from Lexs accident punch to the face was just not realistic. I mean I can extend my disbelief for the most part on this show, but not that. Also, it does not seem like any time passed after Brainiac inputted the infrastructure virus that rioting and burning began to occur. That does not seem realistic, unless they were only showing like the slums of each city, but it was right aside the Daily Planet lol. And why were the lights of the cities going out at the end of the episode when they were about to show Clark in the phantom zone, when they had already gone out.

The car stoppage in the daily planet was very goodd though as well as the beginning sequence.

How will Clark ever get out of the phantom zone, and how can he stop zod, when Zod had total control on him being put into the zone. And how will all this shit be explained to the world? No one saw the spaceship in the field? No one saw the red beam? Maybe they will give us a good explanation in season 6, but I it seems very impossible. And how will they get out Lex to not know about Clarks secret?

And why didn't Jor el say to Clark not to use it the dagger on Fine.

This season could have been utter brilliance, but this finale makes me believe the producers think we are idiots.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
