Not only that, they're using people who really don't fit the ECW style. Thus, I have a problem with the Big Show even being on the roster, much less the ECW champion.

It isn't about who can do it better, it's about who can do it to give the promotion an extra push that has had ECW ties before. Chris Benoit is an ECW alumni, fits the ECW style by definition, and could have great matches with some of ECW's finest. Big Show on the other hand, will use the same WWE big man style of boots and chokeslams with a weapon or two, but call it hardcore like it was ECW.

All I'm saying is, they're seriously trying to push ECW as a separate brand instead of a third brand. To that effect, they need to make the ends justify the means.
The only real reason Show has the ECW title though is because of the Van Dam/Sabu incident. They couldn't exactly give it to sabu because of the incident as well and Angle was out of action during that time. So in reality if they were to give it to an original ECW wrestler and make it a believable title change would be...
--The Sandman

but they were busy having him kick everyones ass. They couldn't just outright give it to one of the FBI members, Benoit was out and good champions like Rhino and Raven are in TNA.

Again, the issue is the flood of WWE guys they're trying to put in there. CM Punk is in ECW right now and considering his skills he would also be a good candidate to put the belt on. There are a plethora of other guys in OVW and in developmental territories that could be brought up and used over time.

Show simply isn't a believable ECW champion, and is better off as a transitional champion who should have dropped the title to someone like CM Punk or someone that can be given a chance to shine.
I will agree with you that CM has a great amount of potential

BUT

Do you really want him to be rushed to the top in a matter of months like Brock Lesnar was with the WWE title?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

They need to bring Tajiri and Super Crazy back to ECW and then bring Mysterio back into ECW.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well...it was more David and Goliath like this

Mysterio vs. Show (SD 1 hour special)
Mysterio vs. Show (Survivor Series)
Mysterio vs. Show AND Kane (Led to Mysterio and Batista joining up)
Mysterio vs. Khali (LAWL)
Mysterio vs. Kane (MAY 19th!)
And if anything...
Mysterio vs. JBL even though its not strictly david and goliath

...

then again it is Heyman doing the booking

Booker T AND JBL

I blame Johnny Ace...

Future WWE

--Someone has an affair with a worm, the boogeyman comes back claiming that it was Johnny Ace who released him over the phone. Boogeyman has a fued with the person, loses a contract laddermatch, is forced to the other brand and starts getting beat by like...Rob Conway. oh wait...nvm

In reality, the old WCW title died when WCW was bought, it was used as a toy during the Invasion Angle.

Now, the World Heavyweight Title looks the same as the WCW title but not the same...cause hell...I've seen in PNW wrestling The Blue Meanie having a belt that looks like it too...no joke

I thought Scott Hall and WWE were on bad terms...although it could give them a reason to bring XPAC back and have him turn on one of the two factions.

Why can't WWE release wrestlers AFTER Smackdown airs...ugh

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Lets just hope TNA utilizes Angle effectively and not slap the belt on him within one month, hold the title, lose it in a gauntlet match then be forced into a fued with lets say..the dudleyz

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

How about this for a big WWE announcment...unification of the titles and no more huge brand split between smackdown and raw...since there is ECW now it can be more of a WWECW vs WWE

WS -- Ric Flair owning part of WWE when Shane and Steph sold their shares to become owners of WCW and ECW, respectively, then there were too many problems between Flair and Vince so Linda forced the brand split. OR in other words, HHH wanted all the screen time so they jammed him on raw so that others can have their chance in the spotlight on SD!

And I for one would love to see a match between Booker T and Cena for title unification because they did build a pretty interesting fued between the two.

God forbid if they do try and bring back the nWo again. I wonder if Shawn Michaels will ever admit during all this that he was a member of the nWo at one point, and wanted to jump to WCW to actually join the nWo over there for a while. Nah, I doubt it.
I think their only reason for putting Michaels in the nWo was to see if they could get a sucessful team of Nash and Michaels back from a long time ago

Hogan and Nash, I can understand them coming back to WWE since I think Nash left cause there wasn't anything left at the time.

Hall...I swore he was blackballed because of some outrageous stunt he pulled to make WWE look bad.

TNA has screwed any chance for there bringing back the original nWo by signing Nash to a new deal. then again WWE can offer more and all that jazz.

in other news, The Boogeyman has been resigned apparently

Ironically, he'll be training at Booker T's school

Wait? ECW was really its own company? When did they decide it was its own thing? Lets see..

Extreme Rules Match = Special...no
A titantron? no...
Rene Dupree and Matt Striker? no...

I seriously am not seeing how ECW was at all, during its run, its own company.
