I know about the album and the song, but it's definitely one of the more rare albums out there, so i'm fine with it.

3pt: Battle Gear 4 + Battle Gear 4 Tuned Original Soundtrack - To a distance (8.5)
Honestly, to tell you the truth, I think I like Gateway to Victory a bit more than To a distance, but I ended up for some reason nominating this song. I agree that the song is really too short, because I'd also like it to develop even longer. Yet, we have what we have. In other news, I think that the cheesiness is really not that bad, and I like the development of the melody.

Quite catchy, and I think that's pretty much enough that has to be said about this song. Thanks for giving me a new addition into my favorites playlist (another one of the 70,000 songs that I completely missed).

1pt: Uncharted Waters II Special Edition - The Chase (7.5)
One of the things that I both love and hate about Yoko Kanno is that a lot of her music can really be considered art. This song, in particular, includes those abstract, romantic elements of both the modern and 19th century composers that sometimes has me confused, but other times becoming wowed at the situation. The jazz element of this song is quite relaxing, and I feel that this song has quite a bit of merit. However, at the same time, this is not one of the songs that I'd personally listen to everyday. It is, understandably, a very good composition and really represents what Kanno can compose.

1pt: The Sims (PC Game Rip) - Building Mode 5 (7.5)
I think the piano is really something that always at least sounds somewhat good. I feel that the other Building Mode theme that was especially present in past contests was a tad bit better, but this theme is done quite well.

Battletoads in Battlemaniacs (SNES Game Rip) - Bonus Stage 1 & Last Battle (7.0)
I'm actually somewhat attracted to this song. The melody is particularly simple, and that's actually good enough to get me to want to listen to this song. The only issue is that it repeats way too much, so the melody needs to develop more.

Namco Game Sound Express VOL.23 Cyber Cycles - Bahama (6.5)
I guess I personally am not amazed by this song... I mean, it's ok and all, but not that completely special in my opinion.

Shining Wisdom - HERALDIC EMBLEM OF WISDOM (6.5)
I honestly get the exact same feeling as orion does on this song. It's a bit of a letdown, because the opening sounds like the song will enter an awesome melody and synth arrangement.

Myst IV Revelation (PC Game Rip) - Welcome (6.0)
I also have a similar bias against music from Myst like others. This song itself is the least ambient out of all of the rest, but I'm not particularly amazed by the vocal gypsy chanting

I'm quite pleased, the three top songs I voted for ended up becoming the top three... and unless there are sudden changes, it means that I get my second first place =D

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
