I am probably the anti-expert of getting over someone. I am still deeply mourning over my ex-boyfriend, whom I broke up with almost two years ago.
Counseling helped some. Liking other boys--MAKING myself like them, practically--was an excellent fix for a little while. Unfortunately, the old feelings came right back once I stopped liking them.
What I hate hate HATE to say is that time is what it seems to be taking. In the mean time, I avoid seeing him at all costs, and I am currently trying to reconstruct myself, personality and all. I cannot even begin to tell you the changes this upheavel has wrought.
I thought I'd have more answers by now, but I don't. Distracting yourself is probably the best you can do in the short-term.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
