If you were a fan of a celebrity, you met them, and they acted like a jerk

Say I enjoy an artist's music. I run into them on a busy street. They are rude to me. That somehow would make the music that I enjoy not sound as good?

I may not like them as a person (but really, since I had never met them I never really did like them as a person anyway) anymore, but I'm fairly certain that I would still enjoy thier work.

I always hate getting to know celebrities on a personal level (gossip or otherwise), it totally ruins your perception of that person's work (supposedly why you're a fan in the first place). Like if an actor was a jerk in real life and you were watching a movie where he's the hero, you can't help but think he'd prefer to punt the child off a bridge rather than save it from a burning building.

I can't listen to Michael Jackson music anymore. His whole career is just a long string of pedophile mastrubation songs.
