Around here, I've seen sealed copies of the CoD4 reprint with the extra maps for £50. Second-hand copies of the regular edition still run around £35. Criminally expensive much? In contrast, I only paid £15 for a second-hand copy of World at War, which has been out for a mere fraction of the time. I dread to imagine how much second-hand copies of MW2 will be...

It's one of the main reasons I've taken to doing all my shopping online, and on the rare occasion I actually buy a newly-released title, I always order it from GAME.

It's not useful 100% of the time but there's something nice about taking a break from the usual COD-style bullshit and just running around the map at super speed like an idiot and shanking everyone you come across. You can seriously lunge about ten feet through gunfire and still get people, it's ridiculous.

This is exactly what I do whenever I'm playing free-for-all on Rust. It's surprisingly easy to rack up killstreaks just by running laps around the corner with the pipe that leads to the top of the central structure. Doesn't work for shit on larger maps, although I've been able to pull off knife-only five-kill streaks a couple of times just by darting around the house in Estate like a maniac.

Yesterday I was playing on Rundown and got killed by an exploding fire hydrant.

Shortly afterwards, I was knocked dead by a supply crate.

Despite being really fucking broken in many respects—the first game I ever played matched me up against four fuckers who were already prestige—I'm still enjoying it. Maybe they'll patch out some of the really aggravating bullshit if it becomes commonplace.

Witnessed a rapidfire FAL this afternoon. Everyone got to see it, as it was the round-winning kill on a game of S&D. Everyone in the game—including the people on the guy's team—started laying into the fucker.

What's the process behind this stuff, anyway? I find it hard to believe that it's only attainable with the controller I posted on the previous page.

Finally got around to finishing the campaign. Played it on Veteran without turning the difficulty down once. Apparently it took me fifteen hours*. ffffffff rio There weren't really any supremely frustrating moments in the latter half of the game; last few levels were a comparative breeze.

Another patch is incoming, this time to fix the exploit that allows crazy shit like public 9v9 games on Rust with infinite ammo. Balance issues as well, apparently; according to Robert Bowling's twitter the 1887 might be nerfed.

Just ran into a level 70 tenth-prestige dude. That he was going something like 3-28 casts doubt upon the legitimacy of his accomplishment. Seems the PS3 hack (or something similar to it) has made it over.

Finally starting to not suck at this. I've been playing some really fucking entertaining KNIFECLASS free-for-all games recently. Current setup along with the requisite marathon/lightweight/commando pro is WA2000 with heartbeat, M9 with tac knife, flashes and tactical insertion. Shit's absolutely unstoppable playing on Highrise; I tend to start matches by running around inside the offices stabbing furiously for a couple minutes, then jumping onto the hanging balcony and heading up to the roof to put down a TI and be a camping sniper asshole for the rest of the game. It's especially fun on domination, as it gives you an absolutely perfect view of the middle point and all you have to do is fire indiscriminately at people trying to take it.

Also, two classes with one man army + danger close + any AR with a tube = HILARIOUSLY BROKEN. Singlehandedly wiped out the entire enemy team on a search and destroy game on underpass last night just by judiciously choosing somewhere to hide out and switch classes. Probably going to hit 70 and prestige sometime this week, though, so I'll have to wait a while to play with this shit next.

I have a vague recollection of playing a few rounds with Tails, Skills and Garr last night. And I kept laying down a TI on the roof on Highrise and swooping down from above and stabbing people.

Pretty sure I probably went an average of like 5-20 on most of those games.
